Isa 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

What is Space Force? Is it Really Real? #spaceforce #nasa #StarTrek

The speed of emitted light can't be measured, we can only measure reflected light. Also, time does not pass for light, therefore it is instant. There is no speed.

I think He did it the same way He filled up the sea. He spoke and it was. He put those distant planets there for the benefit of His creation, why wouldn't He set their light to have already stretched to us, the moment it was created.

Kudos for admitting you don’t know. No sarcasm, I appreciate it. It’s absolutely an assumption within science that physics works the same way throughout spacetime unless otherwise shown; we have no reason to suspect that the speed of light changed or can change. Indeed, we can look at the various celestial bodies, observe their redshift, spectroscopy, and parallax to determine their distance and speed. The speed of light would need to vary widely, not just in time, but also in space for us to observe what we observe. In any case, for you to be correct, god had to have created these bodies/light to appear to be billions of years old… that fossils and rocks were created to appear millions/billions of years old… that life was created to appear to have evolved. This would explain what we observe, but then also runs into the problem of god having intentionally deceived us; this, then, leads to serious theological problems.

God creating the universe with the appearance of age for the purposes of his creation and his glory makes sense to me. Got created all the plants for food with a certain amount of age, otherwise what would his creatures eat for the first months/years while the plants matured?

My simple mind has always explained it like this: God didn't start with eggs or newborn babies. He created the creatures and man fully grown. So he created the heavens already in motion.

God created light on a day before he created the Sun and stars. Genesis 1. Could light itself be slowing down so that it travelled faster just after creation?

Great and humble explanation for the distant starlight paradox. Theological Realism vs. Philosophical Materialism. My take:

✝️🙏🏻And all of that fell under the curse too, and all of it will be replaced.🙏🏻✝️
