ABC's Jonathan Karl at 445pm Eastern on a phone call he had with President Trump after leaRNing of Charlie Kirk's assassination: “I had a brief conversation with the President over the phone. He sounded quite upset, quite down about this. ‘He told me it's horrific. It's one of the most horrific things I've ever seen. He was a great guy. He was a good man. He was an incredible guy. There's nobody like him.’ Charlie Kirk, as Mary pointed out, was truly a personal confidant of the president, incredibly close to the President's son, Donald Trump Jr. and really, in many ways, the beating heart of the MAGA movement, his Turning point USA organization, not just a campus organization. David, this was an organization that put on some of the largest and most ambitious conventions, rallies, events for Donald Trump around the country with pyrotechnics and huge crowds. Also, one other thing I think that is very important about Charlie Kirk is that is that he was somebody, particularly in recent months, who was making a point to try to engage with those that he disagreed with. Look, he had far right views, some very controversial views, but he sat down not long ago and did a podcast with Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. On — on his college campus tours, he would often give speeches. He would be protested. But then when it was over, when the discussion was over, his part of speaking, he would welcome questions from the crowds, including hostile questions in many cases from college students, and engage in those who found his views deeply problematic and offensive. He wanted to engage in those people, and he did so directly. And in fact, that appears to be what he was doing today in Utah when this horrific event happened.”

How many times has he done this? RM said the same thing when Kim Taehyung acted in Hwarang. He said he brought many new people into the fandom who previously didn’t know BTS. Tae not only won hearts with his cute, funny and tragic character, Hansung, but he also won Best Idol Actor at the 13th annual Soompi Awards, and was a recipient of the cast award for Best Actor Ensemble in 2018. RM also said in the early years that Taehyung was the member with worldwide impact. When Jk wanted to launch his own YouTube channel, he asked RM what he should make his first video about to get a lot of views. RM said to make it about Taehyung and he would have a million views over night. This phenomenon was one that perplexed RM as he revealed in a letter to Tae shared on the final episode of BTS Bon Voyage, Season 2, on a boat in Hawaii. To this day, Taehyung goes viral for the most random reasons. He eats an ice cream cone and it becomes newsworthy. He wears clothing and accessories and they sell out. Every brand associated with him profits enormously…and even a few lucky ones who accidentally became benefactors of his “Vidas Touch.” Who could forget the Turkish chocolate incident?! The Squid Game costume and face reveal was just one viral moment among many. We all have such tales to tell about how Taehyung effortlessly got us into a chokehold. Mine was hearing the F5 followed by a G5 in Stigma. It was the first to impress my musical ear, but he proceeded to appeal to all of my senses with the sweet promise of ecstasy…which he delivers in spades on a daily basis. His smile alone is reason enough for virality!

Jenny Racicot describes in detail how Graham Platner allegedly forced his way into her home while “heavily intoxicated” and ignored her repeated refusals. She says he jumped on top of her with clear sexual intentions despite her saying no multiple times. RACICOT: “It was a night where him and I were texting back and forth and he had taken something that I said as, as an invitation, and that’s not how I meant it.” “And I quickly clarified, and he sent a message back indicating that he would come over.” “And I said, no, don’t come over. Like I’m not in the mood. Don’t come over. And I was more stern with that message.” “And then I didn’t hear back from him. So I thought that that meant he got the message or gave up on it or whatnot.” “And so um, like half an hour later, I heard a noise outside my door and, um, then he, he came in, he just came into my house. It was unlocked. I live in an area where you don’t usually have to lock your doors. Um, I do now.” “So, um, he came in and I realized, okay, he didn’t listen. He’s in my home and I was laying on the couch.” “And so he had kind of like jumped on top of me and indicated that he had intentions that were sexual in nature.” “And I remember just at first being like, hey, I’m not into this. Like, don’t, I’m not in the mood. Like, don’t whatever.” “Um, and it got to the point where I was like, okay, I feel like I’ve said this enough times. Like he’s not listening to me or he’s not hearing me.” “And I looked at him and I remember this very specific look in his eyes, and I could smell alcohol.” “And I was like, this is different. He is heavily intoxicated, like, and that blank stare was kind of like a photographic memory that, that I still have of that night.” “That was me recognizing what the situation was. And this wasn’t just like, oh, hey, somebody showed up and I’m going to tell him to go home. Like he was heavily intoxicated and had intentions with me and wasn’t listening when I said no.”
