A VP of Engineering told Azeem Azhar, one of tech’s most influential thinkers, something that everyone is thinking but no-one is saying out loud. "Everyone's on Claude Code. Everyone's about twice as productive. But across 1,000 engineers, I just don't see it." This is exactly what Leo Lu and I saw across the 25 companies we talked to for The Great Reorg. We're working faster as individuals. But companies won't see the full gains of AI, until they redesign how work gets done from first principles. The org chart and the workflows underneath must be rebuilt for a post-AI world. It always makes me laugh how it’s the laziest, hard work avoidant athletes who care about the dumbest things How many likes an exercise gets on social media, how many pros train at a facility… everything but tangible results actually get their attention Here’s a concept: what does it matter how many likes an exercise gets on social media or how cool it looks if you can’t even do it consistently with intent? Here’s a newsflash: the more intricate an exercise, the less transfer it probably has to what you’re actually doing to be successful as an athlete. This isn’t ALWAYS the case, but it usually is Bottom line? Focus on results and what matters and can be most quantified. What gets your sprint speeds to improve? What improves your power output measured by reliable tools? What helps you avoid non contact injuries best? THAT is what matters!

Most podcasts would get a delivery company CEO as their guest, but instead I decided to get 3 delivery boy guests on my show instead. The first is Imran, who works at a quick-commerce company (10-min delivery). The second is Raj, who works at a food-delivery company (30-45 mins delivery). The third is Azhar, who works at an e-commerce company (2-3 days shipping). I asked the delivery riders the below questions: 1) How does 10 minute delivery work? 2) How much tips do they get on average? Do companies take commissions from tips? 3) What is the income difference for riders between quick commerce vs food delivery vs ecommerce? 4) How do dark stores work? 5) Where do they use the bathroom? 6) Why do they ask for 5 star rating? 7) Do they get health insurance? Teamwork makes the dream work! 👣 👣 Earlier this week I posted about “cruising” - an intermediate step between crawling and independent walking in which some babies pull to standing, but still rely on furniture or other environmental supports to balance their steps. These adorable twins are closely aligned in development, but one has begun taking independent steps, while his sister is right on the cusp - and remains a cruiser. So what does she do? She uses her walking brother as a support to scaffold her own walking. How fantastic is that? This amazing video was shared to TT by meganpattterson.

I come from a family of working people, so when I refer to the income tax, I call it a tax on work. Because that’s what it is, a tax on the hard work that you do every day, How will we eliminate it? It starts with slashing the wasteful spending of the Whitmer administration. We can pay to eliminate the tax on work entirely (TWICE) just from the spending increases of her administration. When we get rid of the tax on work, we’ll put more money in your pocket and unleash prosperity again in Michigan.
