Every single one has an element of latent demand. For example, Marketplace. It came from this observation that if you looked at Facebook groups at the time, 40% of the posts were buying and selling stuff. Facebook groups were not designed for commerce, but that's what people were using it for. It's kind of cool. Like, you design this product in a way that can be hacked. It can be abused by users a little bit, and then you look at the data, you see how they're abusing it, and then you build a product around it. I think Facebook dating was pretty similar. I think the observation was something like 60% of profile views were people of the opposite gender that were not friends with each other, kind of like creeping on each other. What is this machine that we’re trying to create? What is its input? What is its output? What are the conditions that it’s in? What is the industry like? Is it a fast moving industry? Is it a bureaucratic industry? Is it a highly regulated industry? A ticket gives Claude Code a clear signpost for when to stop Here's how to write it in 4 parts: 1) Give it a job: - "Add a wait list form to the landing page." 2) Give it a proper scope: - Ask for a name, an email, and a company. 3) Tell it the UX you want: - Show a simple success message after a person sends the form. 4) Tell the constraints it needs to follow: - Keep the design the same as the current brand identity. Then add an instruction: make the change small enough to review in the diff view, run the checks, open the app in the desktop preview, and tell me what still needs human review. The catch: a ticket that is not clear makes Claude guess. "Make the app better." "Add AI." "Build the whole thing." You get a diff too big to read, so you cannot tell if it is right. Keep the ticket small enough so that Claude knows exactly what to do
