How do we feel about this much shaky cam? It increases when you move or look around and then settles back down when you stop!

This post got more popular than I expected, so to be clear this is for recreating the look of a Digicam in Unreal Engine, not for a game. A game would need a wider FOV and like a third of this shakeyness imo.

i like the idea of shaky cam (as i already said on youtube) but somehow this shaking feels kind of uncanny in a way that almost makes it worse to me? like it's just still pretty flowy i guess??

yeah I'm thinking I might need to make the shakeyness faster and less rotational. Or find some way to sample actual hand shakeyness.

Difficult to say without being in control. A video doesn’t transmit how it feels

This more for digicam video recreation than gameplay. The FOV/shakiness is too much for gameplay imo.

Cool for a tech demo, but wouldn't want for an actual game.

@punkittdev Unsure if anyone have mentioned or I just completely forgor. CCD sensors have tendency to drastically distort images depending on velocity since it does scan from one side to the other of the sensor. Which introduces delays

Most CCDs actually have a global shutter instead of a rolling one! It’s one of the few upsides
