The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano has a manufacturer-claimed 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds. Our "slow" base Model S with only 670 hp does it in 3.1 (with the world's best drag coefficient of only .208) Heck even my base Cybertruck with 11K lb towing and steer by wire does it in 3.8.

@JeffCharlesh It is not related to specs, people will buy Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsche. You can't understand this buying pattern from random American perspective. People buy lifestyles and image, not specs.

you have to tell them: It's almost as fast as your car, not quite, but if you are good with the gears you may get close. The sound you hear is about 1USD / km in service costs.

Driving any manual stick car is infinitely better than any electric car, especially self driving cars.

Every Tesla driver had many gas cars before discovering Teslas are 100x better. You retard. And yes, it’s a great feeling. Get a gas Ferrari if you want one. They rule.

Most Tesla drivers don't begrudge anyone having fun with combustion engine sports cars or track cars. Many are gas powered car and manual transmission enthusiasts and owners themselves. But the best value daily driver, and best value high performance street cars are Tesla made. On a circuit race, it takes a $350k Ferrari 296 GTB to beat a $90k Tesla model S plaid that can also drive itself coast to coast autonomously and seat a family of 5 comfortably. For a drag race, it takes a $2M Ferrari to beat that same Tesla.

While that can be fun sometimes, let me describe the utter relaxation of having my truck drive me from Destin, FL, for six hours back home without me having to touch the wheel. I just kicked back, eating my road snacks, listening to music, and enjoying the coastal views. It makes road trips more relaxing than you can understand without trying it.
