Well cavitation is not only a sound problem. It also an efficiency, reliability and sustainability problem for the propeller, as it can cause the propeller to wear down quickly due to micro explosions.

Cavitation can also damage the propeller. Those bubbles when they collapse they produce immense temperature and impact on the propellers.

Cavitation is vacuum pressure perhaps filled with a bit of steam but MOSTLY vacuum

Didn't realize it could happen with propellars. Normally only see it at low pressure chamber like water pump's suction pipe .
