This is an extremely clear example of how the MSM lies and pushes false narratives. CBS did not prohibit or block Colbert's show from airing the Talarico interview. CBS just informed him that if he had Talarico on, he might have to have Jasmine Crockett on too. Last night Jen Psaki opened her show by reading a statement from CBS that said the network DID NOT prohibit Colbert from airing the interview. Psaki then spent almost her entire show repeating the lie that CBS DID block Colbert from airing the interview. Psaki claimed that Trump's FCC came up with a "new rule" to stop late night shows from having politicians on. Psaki's show ended with Jasmine Crockett, of all people, telling the truth, that CBS was not blocked from airing the Talarico interview. Colbert just didn't want to give her equal time on his show.

The story evolves, not because new facts emerged, but because evidence surfaced that contradicted the lie. So the narrative has to change to survive. That’s how you spot it. Not by emotion. Not by volume. But by consistency. The truth stands still. Lies scramble to keep up. And no matter how long it takes, the truth always catches up in the end. On the first day of early voting in New Orleans, 6,230 Black voters, 3,752 white voters, and 558 other voters cast their ballots. Black voters are leading early turnout — and with 135,598 still registered to vote, the power to decide the next mayor and council is clear. Only 4% of voters have participated so far. The story of this election has not yet been written. Every reminder, every text, every ride to the polls matters. When our community shows up, votes beat money. Votes beat narratives. The future of New Orleans will be decided by those who show up and vote. Don’t be fooled by those saying race doesn’t matter — when most white voters have already chosen a side, while over 80% of undecided voters are Black. I really can’t rationalize how so many of us skip over something so easy, that impacts so much of your life. Between Baton Rouge and New Orleans the 2 biggest cities in Louisiana we have 270,156 REGISTERED Black voters. Only 15,038 Black people early voted when you add up the turnout totals for both. With low numbers like that turnout is expected to be extremely low for Black voters. Voting doesn’t solve everything by far, but not voting has impacts on your kids education, the investment in your roads and businesses. Even if you don’t care about the social issues, not voting impacts who gets the money. We have good people on the ballot Saturday. In statewide races, as well as senate and house races. This last week has truly revealed to me just how new to the grand stage and national limelight us Chiefs fans and KC natives really are. When you have a dynastic team led by superstar celebrities, THIS is how it goes and will continue to be. Famous dates show up to games. Ticket prices skyrocket. Even more unfair, unwarranted and unnecessary narratives are created by sports pundits to downplay and diminish the team you love. Your team goes from a lovable loser to the most hated and hated on franchise in the sport seemingly overnight. But we have waited our entire lives for days like these. So laugh at the negative noise and bask in the satisfying success. We’ve only just begun. 💍💍💍

I am so honored and thankful to NAACP Image Awards® for recognizing the words I shared about the NEED for us as a society to protect both our reproductive rights and organizations like Planned Parenthood Action during my stint on The Daily Show this past November. As of the time of this post, twenty-one states ban abortion or restrict the procedure earlier in pregnancy than the standard set by Roe v. Wade, which governed reproductive rights for nearly half a century until the Supreme Court overturned the decision last year. We need to keep the pressure!
