It is inconceivable that the Pentagon didn't know about 1,100 troops stationed in Syria and revises the number from 900 to 2,000 because it "recently learned" they were there. How could they not know where all troops are?

You are the Pentagon and you dont know how many troops in Syria? Sound like someone outside of the Pentagon is determining troop levels?

Just to point out, the 2,000 number is probably also a huge lie. What if it was already 50,000? It's not like they have any compunctions at all about lying to us.
