Generational trauma is fake.

This is unwittingly ungrateful and narcissistic. Most people have no idea the rough childhoods their parents have endured. Odds are there is something your parents experienced that they refused to pass onto you.

That's the stupidest shit ever.

The real deal is understanding that we all have traumas that shape us what we are and we are a work in progress. Unless we acknowledge a trauma, we can't even work towards mending ourselves. And yes, someone has to bear the burden. Usually it is the one who understands.
