In section 5E(1) of its Committee, the USGA offers general guidelines the suggestion that holes not be placed too close to the collar or on slopes where a ball will not come to rest. But those aren't inscribed in the Rules of Golf. There is no such thing as an “illegal pin.” Huh

I work at a high end country club in the summers and this video is 100% true. When our superintendent’s in a pissy mood, every pin is behind a bunker, tucked in a corner, back of the green… all on a random Wednesday for the old retired guys
