How have we never seen this deleted scene before 😧

According to Pottermore, Harry and Dudley reconciled and would occasionally see each other on holidays to keep up.

So criminal to leave this out.

This scene would've been great in the movies even though its in the books

I think the reason they chose to leave it out is that if you watch DH1, at the beginning the three friends are leaving their families in preparation for their fight against Voldy. The director wants you to feel their loneliness and dread, not a redemptive moment with Big D.

“I don’t think you’re a waste of space” “You’re completely useless though” That’s how it really ended lol

Not having this in the movie is damn near anti Harry Potter. Talk about wholesome

A family that was always there for a boy who desperately needed one, but they never wanted him. It seems like in this scene, they kind of realize how much they messed up. Whether they regret it or not.

I’ve never watched any Harry Potter movies, but isn’t he supposed to have a bow and arrow and a cape or something?

This hit hard in the book.

Wouldn't it be something if Dudley and his wife had a couple of muggle born wizards?

Is there a uncut version of all the Harry Potter movies? 😇

This scene and the scene with aunt petunia saying “you didn’t just lose your mother that day… I lost a sister too” really made you realize they were nice people but the horcrux in harry made them evil.

They should make these characters black!!

This scene absolutely should not have been cut. When I read the books it felt one of the most poignant moments; always disappointed it didn’t make it to the big screen.

Aunt Petunia is supposed to burst into tears after this and hug Dudley to death😂 Hestia is outraged bc he hasn't done anything of note - just said Harry's "not a waste of space" - so Harry says, "Yeah, but coming from Dudley that’s like ‘I love you,’" 😭 Should have kept it in

Just read the book, it’s there, and more.

same with the part when his aunt told harry that she didn’t hate him but hate the magic.

there needs to be a directors cut with all the deleted scenes. id watch that.

Because the music was so annoying

Yes its a scene i wish had been included...its important I think

What an awkward but endearing scene. I quite like that it's not over the top with Dudley giving him a hug crying but just that. Sometimes less is really more.

Jesus Christ, does nobody read the books? This is an important part of the Harry/Dudley story, and I was always disappointed that it wasn't shown.

Is this AI? It's great...

You have.

When harry dealt with all the mess and had a happy family i thought if possible duddly would have been a great uncle to Harry's kids

Because it’s awful..

peacock streaming did this weird thing where they seemed to add back deleted scenes. or maybe they just used directors cuts or something but yeah every peacock version of harry potter had extra scenes. it was confusing tf out of me

Because it's awful!? It's awkward as hell, doesn't really add anything, isn't particularly well acted, all in all it deserves to be on the cutting room floor

Harry Melling isn't easy on the eyes but he's one hell of an actor.

I just realized… Ia he wearing a fat suit?!?

This scene is in the film.

Oh I've seen it before, although not with that awful music added that makes it near unwatchable. I kind of like the scene. I do like that his cousin grew up. He's seen enough to overcome to bigotry he was taught at home.

I am so confused why this was cut out of the movie

Something from the book, the movie should have never cut

Big D?😭
