That very much depends on the design of the plane. A commercial jet can maybe reach 45k? Someone can correct that if wrong. F-15s can hit 50k. SR-71 was a great deal higher than that. I think the actual max altitude of that plane is still classified even though it's retired.

Big deal! It was made pretty much to intercept the SR 71. No luck there! It was capable of the speed in the altitude, but it would have to be pinpoint accuracy because it would be falling back down by then. The Habu would be many many miles ahead of it and still going strong! So the mig 25 was a total failure.

🐂💩 The 60k ft limit is because any higher and you'd need a pressure suit to survive accidental decompression. SR-71, U-2, F-4 and F-15 have all flown well above that limit.
