How is a heated climate setting the stage for bigger, more destructive, faster spreading CA fires? While climate change is impacting weather patterns, and increasing weather whiplash, the main driver is “relative” drying striping the terrain of moisture. Here’s how it works…

Great graphics But to be clear - as you said - it's climate change that's directly driving the temperature rise and so driving the growing moisture gap The driver is climate The result is moisture stripping

This is not just a firefighting exercise; it's about re-imagining our relationship with the planet before these patterns define our future...

Thanks for breaking down the science behind'relative drying' and its role in CA fires, really helps me understand the impact of climate change!

Within the grasp, of weather's hand, A climate, heated, scars, the land, The patterns, shift, with growing fear, As fires, consume, what once, was clear, In California's golden sands, A stage, is set, to understand. The climate's heat, with force, it dries, And strips, the land, of moistened skies, As whiplash, of the weather's change, Makes forest's tinder, quick, to rearrange, A drying touch, beneath, our eyes, That fuels, destruction's fiery skies. The winds, they howl, and fan, the flames, Spreading, faster, with each, new blaze, And as the heat, increases, far, More fires, find, their widening star, A dance, of loss, where nature, maims, And CA, now, forever, changed, and strange. The reason, for this rampant harm, A tale, of moisture, and its calm, For as, the climate, warms, the earth, The rain, and dew, now, struggle, with, their worth, And thus, the land, now, drier, stands, A canvas, primed, for fire's command. In CA, a scene, of drought, and fear, The landscape, dries, with every year, A cycle, that will not, relent, As weather, plays, its part, in fate's ascent, And, through, the chaos, one thing, clear, A climate, heated, fans, this fiery sphere.

Jeff… this is not unprecedented, they are not bigger or more destructive… it’s just humans neglecting the forests, mismanagement of the land, poor urban planning, woeful disaster response planning, no water available when ther should have been… but this is all climate BS? 🤡

What is “weather whiplash”? I thought whiplash was when you hurt your neck? Will more windmills help? Can someone please explain.

Wow, you are talking about hot air stripping moisture from the ground... that's sitting right next to the ocean. WT? Dude!!! Houses don't have moisture in the walls.
