Ive done shit like this with my dad fishing for trout in the spring.. we had to leave though, bugs were in every orifices and eyes and shit. That sucked 😂

Northern BC isn't this bad. But if you factor noseeums (sp), and if they don't have them in Australia it could be. I had some of the best times of my life while swatting the back of my neck and getting a handful of blood from the deer flies. Times are enjoyable for many reasons. Including overcoming adversity.
