Wait for elections to get over! ▪️It has NOT been done to benefit the consumer ▪️It has been done to cushion the oil marketing companies like IOC, HPCL & BPCL ▪️Amidst rising global oil prices and supply disruptions the under recoveries of oil marketing companies were rising and margins were under pressure ▪️The govt has decided to take a hit on its own exchequer to maintain financial health of OMCs ▪️In the last 12 years the Modi govt has raised excise duty on petrol and diesel 14 times, and mostly under special and additional category and cess which is not shared with the states ▪️These repeated excise duty hikes boosted central government revenue from petroleum products to by Rs 39,000,000,000,000 (Rs 39 lakh crore) ▪️Excise duties under UPA Diesel: Rs 3.56/ litre Petrol: Rs 9.48/ litre ▪️Under Modi govt peak excise duty Diesel: Rs 31.83/ litre, ⬆️ 800% Petrol: Rs 32.98/ litre, ⬆️250% ▪️The govt did NOT pass benefits to consumers even when price of global crude came down significantly, it instead filled its own exchequer. ▪️This move to cushion the oil marketing companies is similar to oil bonds that the BJP so vehemently criticises 👉This revenue sacrifice via excise cuts is being done to shield OMCs and prevent sharp spike in prices - exactly what oil bonds did! 👉One will have to see what the govt dos when elections are over in the 5 states. #WATCH | Kolkata, West Bengal: On Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla heading to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of the Axiom-4 Mission, Indian scientist Tapan Mishra says, "The Indian government has planned to launch the Gaganyaan mission with our own astronaut from India by next year. As part of that initiative, four astronauts have been selected. Among them, one primary astronaut and one backup astronaut have been sent to participate in the Axiom-4 Mission—a commercial mission to the ISS, operated by private space company Axiom Space, which charges around $65 million per astronaut. This is part of ISRO's ongoing astronaut training program. These astronauts were initially trained extensively in Russia, and now they are also being exposed to training and operational environments in the U.S., giving them experience with different types of launch systems. This dual exposure will help us identify and incorporate necessary precautions and best practices into our own Gaganyaan mission. Breaking! 🚀 🇨🇦 NordSpace successfully tested its fully integrated sub-orbital rocket, Taiga, powered by its proprietary and in-house 3D printed Hadfield engines and pressure vessels. This marks a significant step forward in preparation for Canada’s first commercial space launch. Taiga is the only commercial liquid rocket being developed in Canada, and is expected to launch later this year from our own spaceport, Spaceport Canada. Canada finds itself at a critical juncture with its sovereignty in space at stake. Our successful integrated rocket test is a major leap forward, and we are already in the advanced phases of completing the flight-ready version of Taiga. NordSpace was founded in 2022, and in a short time period has rapidly developed significant rocket technologies, launch and test infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. NordSpace's CEO and founder, Rahul Goel, said “This successful test is not only a testament to our team and nation’s unmatched technical capabilities, but also our resilience and sheer determination. Hindus are being told that reducing Muslims to second-class citizens will somehow secure their future. The truth is the opposite. The poison of internal discord sown by the BJP – led by its Divider-in-Chief, Narendra Modi – weakens our Republic, shrinks India's global standing, and ultimately harms every Indian, perhaps Hindus most of all. There are many Muslim-majority countries in the world. India is the world's only Hindu-majority nation of comparable global scale and influence. Weakening India's social fabric and consequently, our international standing does not serve Hindu interests. It diminishes us.

At a time when the nation stood united in grief and solidarity and our borders are facing heightened security tensions, the ruling BJP behaves with shocking immaturity and reckless abandon. Instead of showing accountability and statesmanship, they retreat behind empty bravado and diversionary tactics. We, as a responsible opposition, have always stood firmly with our armed forces without any compromise, but we cannot and will not remain silent when the government fails the very people it is sworn to protect. We ask the following questions which the government must answer — ▪️Why did the BJP government rush to inform Pakistan about the operation before even alerting our civilians in border areas like Poonch? ▪️Did terrorists like Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed and terrorists responsible for Pahalgam escape because of these premature disclosures? Who is accountable for that? ▪️Based on the information shared by the External Affairs Minister with Pakistan, how many terrorists managed to escape? And how much damage did it cause to India’s security and national interests? ▪️When we ask these tough questions, BJP calls us anti-national, but the real betrayal is putting Pakistani lives before Indian lives and running away from the truth. ▪️BJP also should also answer why their own PM Morarji Desai was awarded Pakistan’s highest civilian honour, Nishan-e-Pakistan—for leaking RAW secrets and compromising India’s security. Is this the BJP’s legacy of nationalism? We salute our forces, not a government that weakens them through diplomatic blunders, poor intelligence management, and misplaced priorities. We once again demand that the Prime Minister convene an all-party meeting and call a special session of Parliament, so the government is compelled to place the full truth before the nation.
