@ptrmadurai Great explanation, PTR rocks as always. If the resolution requires 75% approval and the center has 33%, even if all states unite, it won’t reach 75%. So without the central government vote, the resolution can’t pass. Is my understanding correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am wondering why nobody is raising voice against the voting rights. If its kept this way, it would always be quite convenient to blame the Centre for any GST changes. Ideally, any change should be approved by all the members of the committee especially all state FMs. Has anyone raised voice against the voting rights?

Well the oposition doesn't have numbers in parliament yet they oppose they don't see that an act of FU-TI-LI-TY Why don't register their opposition in the minutes of meeting ? How many times has this FM opposed the resolution against any tax proposal. Why couldn't they convince other states ? Surely if something is so bad will equally be bad for other states ?
