So, they’re adding to the fund but not taking anything out. 3.The Impact: This money stays in the system, which actually helps keep Social Security strong for people who do qualify. In short, undocumented immigrants contribute billions to Social Security every year, but because they don’t have legal status, they aren’t able to receive the benefits they help fund.

In fiscal year 2022, illegal immigrants paid $25.7 billion into social security through taxes in 2022. They paid $96 billion in total taxes, which includes all forms of local, state, and federal taxes. Yet under Biden’s open border policies, $451 billion in taxpayer dollars have been spent on services for illegal immigrants, effectively costing American taxpayers far more than any contributions made.
