When the driver set off their wasn't a pedestrian on the crossing it was his decision to stop and let the people cross be it parking on the crossing, but instead of you pulling behind him you pulled at the side of him stopping on the Zulig zag lines. Are you for real 😳

Jeremy… you literally posted a video the other day of you having an incident due to a cyclist riding straight through a pedestrian crossing! It happens ALL the time. The only reason that car had to slam its brakes on is because YOU waved the pedestrian across.

Just so you understand how things work in Planet Normal - the van *had* stopped to let people cross on the Zebra - the elderly couple stopped well away from the crossing, indicating clearly that they didn't want to cross... Then Planet Bonkers arrives... 1/2

Why did you roll up into that small gap between the car and the kerb. You're not looking after yourself there. Also the pedestrians where standing well back not really indicating they wanted to cross . As the car moved they stepped forward and you waved them out.

Maybe he just knows your a massive Karen with 20 cameras on your head cycling, entitled attitude around London looking for confrontations. I bet you sniff your own Lycra pants when you get home

They literally stopped because they saw you. What does that tell you? The van only continued because it didn’t appear they were crossing. This is how everyone see cyclists. I can’t believe you’ve posted this. Although to be fair could say the same for alot of your videos.

You gesturing for the pedestrians to cross the road was extremely dangerous. Did you check to see if it was safe for them to cross

It was not your call to wave the pedestrians forward onto the crossing.

When taking hgv driving lessons I was told you would fail your test for gesturing people to cross as you do not know it’s safe to do so. As this video shows. JV had no idea what the other road user was thinking. Yes it’s manners but puts pedestrians at risk.

As a cyclist, aged 37, can I say that Jeremy Vine makes me want to finally learn to drive and never cycle again!!!!!

I would agree with that man. The number of times I’ve been nearly run into while crossing the street while the green man is showing. Also just two days ago I got hit by someone’s handlebars while on a pavement, because they were cycling on the pavement.

Many said you put yourself in danger in under cutting a van (narrow gap) at a Zebra crossing - with likely hood a) he would boot it off after pedestrians crossed b) getting into another cycle rage attack again c) van driver can't see you as in blind spot.

What are you doing

Posting vids like this is very toxic, why must it be us and them? You both stop, the van starts to move slowly, when YOU call the two pedestrians to cross, when it was unsafe to do?

Cars are supposed to give cyclists plenty of distance, you even posted a bus getting too close to you. But you undertake on the left and put yourself much too close to the car, which was there before you. Your behaviour here is below par, no wonder trouble follows you everywhere

Not much high vis here. It’s like he doesn’t want to be visible so he gets into conflict. I suspect his videos would be boring otherwise.

Forgetting about the crossing for a minute. Why do you squeeze through that small gap between the vehicle and kerb? Surely it’s safer to stay behind it. You could also have scratched it with the end of your handle bars. Don’t pin everything on drivers when you do silly things too
