How satisfying is this animation? We made this with Rive + Webflow. Doing some tests… will show you later how we implement interactivity in our client sites.

Isn’t magical? 🫢🔥

That’s so awesome!

anime.js website, you should mention it

Maybe you should watch the video pass the first 2 seconds!

Wow no code?? This is insane. Do you think webflow s recent acquisition of gsap put them back in 1st position?

They were in the 1st position all along. Ignore the hype.

Seems like everyone is working on framer. Why do u think that is

Social media and FOMO effect. Framer is getting good, but Webflow is far more advanced. Framer appeals to designers while Webflow is great if you want to be more serious about your web dev. When I get clients, and see their needs, I immediately know what tool I need for the job. It’s never Framer. Yes, Framer could do some of the simpler stuff, but Webflow for someone who learns it is more advanced and even faster.

I add custom js on top of wp but honestly the perf for some of the more advanced stuff is not great. Thinking to switch to something react based or similar that’s optimized for speed so that if i want to go crazy on the animations i dont need to spend 5 days doing perf optimization

Framer feels like figma. Kinda. If you like that, you will feel at home. I don’t see why react based would be better. I’d love to see a real world comparison of a heavily animated page using framer and compare that to Webflow. I don’t see why react based would not need optimization. Maybe someone should recreate Joseph berry’s website in Framer so we can compare performance.

I actually still design on XD. (Don’t hit me lol). I already have too many SaaS subscriptions. At this rate air will soon become an SaaS. But if there was a major benefit to switching in terms of turning designs into websites i would do it in a heartbeat

Whatever tool that can get the job done. When you choose a new tool, you probably want to choose the one with less proprietary tech and higher ceiling. Not only based on the learning curve.

Looks like an animation from anime.js website
