yeah in like 1999, it's 2026 bro inflation is insane

That’s a Jewish propaganda to support the banking system and make the interest rate looks cute

Monthly inflation for April was at .85%. If the bank gives him .33% then he’s not making money by saving it. Banks are only for securing your money with the FDIC. Cmon Zack

This completely ignores diminished purchase power. The brother that spends gets full purchase power each time and that 0.33% is not keeping up with inflation.

6k in 10 years aint it fam just enjoy those 50

The inflation rate is higher than the interest rate. He's not making any money in 10 years those 6k would have less accusation value not to mention bank fees

6k in 10years …while the other brother had fun, friends & life experience…take your pick life’s your choices😮💨

10 years for 6 grand? Just enjoy life with the buck u get You can earn money later on in life

oh gee 6,000 dollars meanwhile i need to live off 10$ a month

Yeah, 0.33%, but inflation is gonna eat that in like, I don't know, a month.

Put your money in ETFs instead of keeping it in the Bank

BS, cause the bank then charges you a monthly bank fee.............you forget about that. pfft. An all the fees & BS charges they just pull outtah their butt. Finally the big one. INFLATION. Whatever you gain.........doesn't keep up with inflation.

lol worst example of saving ever. The bank returns are terrible. Might as well blow it and enjoy life. Never save in a bank, you’re only making them rich

What they don’t tell you is you get no help from the government at all in anyway shape or form if you have a savings account.

You’re better off putting that money into a Roth IRA or a money market than relying on just savings as most banks especially FCUs only compound quarterly with less than a .05% dividend.

the galvanized steel guy with screws borrowed from his aunty is surely giving the savings brother a thumbs up right now from his tiny bedroom apartment.

Isn’t like 4,800 of that just from the 40 dollars you save? It’s presented as if the interest you gain is somehow a huge factor in this when it’s really not

I rather enjoy my youth than make 6k in 10 years.

Not the comments taking Zack's video too seriously </3

Assuming your parents opened an account for you under their name and that there are no bank fees, which was true for me when I was young. Wonder if it is the same now?

10 years for 6k? Waste of time if you ask me

Meanwhile inflation ate 40% of it 😂

The bank is the real winner

the less you go out and drink, smoke, visit friends at the pub, purchase books and accumulate your interests. the greater value of capital you will have, and the greater your alienated being.

Yet, the bank is making 9%+ of his money

Well the brother is also rich in health 😅☠️

Then your parents steal the money 😡

I saved money every day then i bought a camera

.33% sounds like shit ngl.

Sure, but a savings accounts isn't an investment

Rule of 72. If you divide 72 by the rate of return it will tell you how many years to double your money. So currently his at 218 years for that $40 to become $80. In that time his losing 3% per year to inflation. A nd his losing 1/3 of the return in unearned income tax.

Except life doesn't work like that

I am the brother 😔😅

bookmarking this for when i find a bank that doesn't steal my saved money in the process

If i'm a kid how do I get a bank account to get interest
