Strongly disagree… The quickest way to release an addiction is to change your identity NOT your behavior. Most people start at the behavior level which is why they fail. “I’m the type of person who…” …Values my health and wants to be here for my children When I used to drink in my 20s I tried for the longest time to stop. But my desire to drink was stronger than my will to not drink. If you make it a test of will you will lose every time. Instead I simply decided that I was no longer going to do things that made me less and only going to do things that made me more. Then it became binary…. Does this activity make me more more or less? I simply became a person who no longer drank. Another thing that can be helpful is to claim the new action / way of being for only a single day. While you may not be able to say “I’m not going to drink for the rest of my life” … in fact such a statement maybe so overwhelming you don’t even start. Instead you can say “today won’t be the day” And then one day you will wake up and find you can say with the same conviction “…and tomorrow won’t be either” Finally there is no “process” to changing. There is nothing to overcome. Change happens in an instant. In fact, it’s popular these days to hear people say they are “processing” some experience that happened in the past. (Often over 20 years ago). And to that I say “how’s that going for you” It is not through effort or exertion or analysis that we become free of the past it is simply by letting go. How long does that take. A single moment. Release the behavior. Release the story. Release the version of yourself that continues to make the same choices. Make a decision to be more and not less. Have a compelling vision for the future. Let it go and move forward from this new place. You got this!

Would appreciate an unblock by Huberman 👍🏼👇🏼🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.. question on one of the original videos from couple years or more ago and maybe it was a small clip or probably two viral clips or so.. ( about helping avoiding having those afternoon cravings and able to focus etc ) Huberman says you look ( direct ) at the sun in AM for 3 to 5 ( 7 min ) minutes but can blink but it seems like recently he’s changed it into look in the direction of the sun so which one is it? We’ve been looking at the sun (of course blinking ) in the early morning. .. per those first initial videos of huberman we saw .. hope don’t go blind 😮😮😮 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼.. so which one is it !??!!!
