Or you could of just let it drain in the oil bucket you have right under the filter that you eventually poor it in. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you are scared to get a little oil on your hands, you are doing the wrong job...

You need to put oil along the rim before reinstalling it.

I've never filled my oil filter with oil before installing 😂

I was taught to smear oil on the new filter's gasket.

NOOOOO! You lube the new gasket, turn until the gasket seats, then 1/4 turn more! NEVER use a tool to tighten!!!!

I am 100% in agreement with filling a filter mounted vertically like this one before installing it. The brief moment when cranking the engine it isn't primed can't be a good thing.

Worst gloves possible for this job

Didn't lube the gasket and used a wrench to install the new filter. It might be a little tough getting it off next time.

This guy is not to be trusted with anyone's car. Woolly gloves, irrelevant method of filter removal, no oiling the seal, no cleaning the mating surface, and canister oil filters should only ever be hand-tightened. Good luck removing it next time.

Useful only if you have grandma’s gloves on.

Honest question? Where is all the oil that should drain out?

That’s great, unless your filter is sideways.

Who fills the oil filter to the top? And then not only filled it up, didn’t even rub oil on the gasket? What the fuck is happening in this video lol

Really crank on that filter nice and tight so that next time you can’t even get it off.
