Crimping an RJ-45 can be tricky, but once you get the hang of it, it’s super useful! Always remember the T568B color code for standard connections: Orange/White, Orange, Green/White, Blue, Blue/White, Green, Brown/White, Brown.

If he didn't crimp the gray outer insulation into the connector I was going to go crazy. Almost every video on Youtube shows like 1/4 inch of bare unshielded conductors between the connector housing and the start of the insulation.

The continuity tester isn’t enough, you need a proper tester to ensure it will negotiate @ full speed. Also I don’t like the ends where the wires poke through. Thats just a crutch for not cutting short or even & exposes the wires unnecessarily. That same crimper does this right.

Pay attention to your site’s A/B cabling standard.

Professional here. Pass-throughs are for rookies.. NEVER use them outside or in any place that has humidity or moisture. Or just never use them at all.. 🙅🏻‍♂️🙌🏼
