There are two things worth pointing out about upscaling in #AssassinCreed Black Flag Resynced. 1. Incorrect resolution scaling with Balanced and Performance modes: Using Balanced or Performance with any upscaler causes the game's Resolution Scale (output resolution) to drop, which also lowers the internal render resolution. As a result, these modes apply incorrect scaling and the image quality is noticeably worse than it should be. For now, the workaround is to set the Resolution Scale to 100% and manually adjust the Max Dynamic Resolution (internal resolution) to match the expected scaling for Balanced or Performance mode. 2. The game defaults to the older DLSS 3 CNN model: By default, the game uses the older DLSS 3 Preset E. While it's still a fine option, it doesn't match the image quality of the DLSS 4 Transformer model (Preset K) or the newer DLSS 4.5 (Preset L and M). So I highly recommend forcing at least Preset K through the NVIDIA App (or another tool). Even on RTX 20/30 series GPUs, with Preset K, you can maintain the same performance as before while getting better image quality by using a lower upscaling mode, like Balanced instead of Quality. Hopefully Ubisoft Support fixes the scaling issue and adds an in-game option to choose between DLSS 3, DLSS 4, and DLSS 4.5.

During DLSS 5 Hands-On Video, YouTube creator Hot Hardware asked Nvidia employees this question about the computational cost of DLSS 5 when you move around in the game and it really caught my eye on how they hesitated on showing any DLSS 5 footage during motion. Every time that he moved the character, he would turn off DLSS 5 first then move to a different in-game location and then turn it on, or if DLSS 5 was turned on the movement was very slow and controlled. I know this is still work in progress, but it really begs the question "why wouldn't they show any this?" or "why show DLSS 5 this early?" I tried freezing some shots when another character is in motion to check if there are any artifacts when DLSS 5 is turned on. As suspected, I did come across some artifacts with UI elements, character popping out of the UI element and ghosting/artifacts behind the character. Its still not the best way to judge these small details that you can clearly see if a footage is recorded in-game, but then again its not like Nvidia provided any of them during DLSS 5 marketing campaign. Whenever this is still going to be present by the time DLSS 5 launches remains to be seen, however as of right now it doesn't look like it will handle fast-paced motion quite well and I don't know how well this "controlled AI-generated" rendering will scale to weaker GPUs in the RTX 50 series

FSR 4 Redstone VS DLSS 4.5 tested in Black Myth: Wukong at super-low resolutions In this comparison I've set the following settings: 720p output resolution and render scale at 50% (360p) for all the upscalers. I've also included other upscalers that the game offers like NXSR, TSR and FSR 3 so you can see how each one does its job at reconstructing the image. DLSS 4.5 definitely takes the cake here by showing the most pleasing image of them all, followed closely by FSR 4 Redstone. TSR also looks surprisingly good, however the edges around the character are much rougher.

Here's a direct comparison between native TAA VS DLSS 4.5 VS FSR 4 Redstone in Cyberpunk 2077. For this comparison I've used the same in-game save file, game settings and the latest drivers on both machines. The first clip shows Cyberpunk 2077 running at 1080p using native TAA. Holy Crap! nVidia DLSS 4.5 and even Framegen might be GOOD now. LinusTechTips: "I hate that Fake Frames are good now": - DLSS 4.5 is MUCH SHARPER on upscaling than even the source material. Particles stand out, image quality better than source. - Fake Frames up to 6x, but not how you think. Think no more frame-drops as framegen is dynamic now. Only when you need them. Linus can't even tell when its on or off in most cases now. Watch video highlight below for details.

How To Train Squats For Explosiveness 99% of athletes are not strongest in the deep portion of a squat. When you become stronger in the bottom 1/4 of the rep, you build so much more knee resilience against injury in any range higher than that position. We focus on controlling the eccentric part of the rep for 4 seconds down, and explode out from the bottom. The goal is to drive knees over toes, keep the chest up and out, & not allow the back to round. As you can see in the video, any can work this easier or tougher levels with just body weight or loaded barbell.

Pretty incredible You have to try the new '/goal' feature in Codex It worked for over an hour and built me an entire complex extraction shooter video game You give it a goal, then it works endlessly until the goal is complete. It's like a Ralph loop. Can run for days If you enable the image gen skill before you run the goal, it will even generate ALL the assets for your game autonomously. I didn't manually create ANY of the assets you see in the video Recommendations: enable the image gen skill, put on skip all permissions, and give the prompt as much detail as you can. It will accomplish ALL of it This has to be the sickest way to build games/ long running app tasks ever
