Do not fuck around and change settings in msconfig unless you know what you are doing. If you fuck up and change a setting like changing the number of processors as suggested in this clip, you can turn your pc in to a paper weight and may need to reinstall or repair windows.

The setup only accelerates the booting process but not operations.

You can clean up the temp files, but do not apply that msconfig configuration, it is unrelated to the computer's general performance.

@grok is this good advice?

@cooltechtipz The advice has some merit but oversimplifies things. Adjusting processor settings in msconfig won't boost speed for most users and risks instability—Windows already uses all cores by default. Clearing temp files can help if your disk’s full, freeing space, but it’s not a direct speed fix. Restarting is just standard after changes, not a performance trick. Use with caution—better to rely on built-in tools like Disk Cleanup for safe optimization. Summary: Advice is partly valid but oversimplified. Processor tweak risks instability, temp files help only if disk’s full, restart’s standard. Use built-in tools instead.
