It sounds so slow, but I guess that’s the point. Thanks for sharing. How do you feel about these new AI-powered digital second brains?

the most important skill when reading a book is: to stop reading it if it doesn’t give you anything or little. so. skim, annotate and skip. use LLMs to help you understand. the reading is not important, what you take away from it is.

My flaw feeling rushed and wanting to get through a book. Just seems like there’s so much to read with so little time lol. I didn’t pickup book reading till my 30’s so feel like I’m covering lost ground. My earlier life I just wasn’t a fan of reading. Now I can’t get enough.

Great suggestions. Wish I knew this earlier.

Reading every day is the harder habit than the system itself. @Komit21 runs on 21-day commitments — check in daily, reset if you miss 2 days. Roast what doesn't work → annual sub, free.

People remember the highlights. The note cards force you to remember the sentence that actually changed how you think.

Not a huge reader but this makes so so much sense.

The real value of a notecard system is not storage. It forces the reader to slow down, choose what mattered, and translate the idea into their own thinking. That’s where reading starts becoming memory.
