That does not remove your gmail address from other sites. They still have your Google email addresss in their database. What you just did is revoke your access using your gmail account from the site genius.

It’s not necessary to remove your Gmail address and stop Google from spying on you - just switch to a host that does not read your mail, such as or Remember, if a service is “free”, your data is the product they sell!
