If you found this pup, here's what works best: Don't chase - get low, stay calm, let him come to you. Scared dogs run. Check for a collar / tag, but don't force it. If you can, slip a leash slowly. Give water and a little food, keep him in a safe, quiet spot. Take him to a vet or shelter to scan for a chip - it's free and fast. Snap clear pics, note where you found him, and post in local lost dog groups, Nextdoor, and call animal control / shelters nearby. If you can't hold him, ask a shelter or rescue to take him in, don't leave him loose. Thanks for looking out for him - that little tail wag says he needs help.
