How to teach our people civic sense 🙈

The sad part is that majority of the fellow Indians consider littering as their fundamental right and expect the authorities to keep it clean. It can only change by force. That is the only way.

Sir 'TEACH' time is over, civic sense is never taught in schools but rather inculcated by parents, and his parents never did because those facilities were never there, todays how many 55+ yo's father travelled by Shatabdi or Rdhani... None!!

You cannot teach civic sense to an adult. Just like you cannot teach old dog new tricks. So forget about this generation. For our next generations to have better lives, start with mandatory civic sense classes from kindergarten to high school. That’s when wet clay can be molded into beautiful pot.

Need more bins everywhere! Simple! We just don’t have access to enough!

Start fining heavily, no corrupt mechanism. The duty inspectors have cameras in their dress, mic'd up ..just like abroad.

Difficult to teach civic sense to grown ups...these habits should have been cultivated from childhood... To deter these erring adults heavy penalties may only work. 🙏🏼

The general public always think that they are only entitled for public property and it’s cleaning is someone else’s job. It may take another 2-3 generations to bring civic sense on to track.

By putting fine on them. In India throwing trash is freedom but in other countries it is punishable offence.

Ritualise it. Ingrain civic sense into religion. Catch hold of the clergy across all religions and train them to preach it. Religion is the oldest and most potent medium of influence.

Civic sense ? What's that ? No such word exists for the majority ! Abuse of public property is also probably considered here by many as a Constitutional Right followed by our Hon Courts for whom Bail is a priority ! 😡😡So this bound to be so

Sir,I have an idea.I have observed almost all people scrolling on phone.We can make a compulsory reel on social media to be run on each phone mandatorily to follow trafic signal .2.How not to litter and put the garbage in dustbins..

I put a bench outside my boundary so people could rest. Now people sit,eat and throw trash around it. No good deeds go unpunished.

This is nothing you go by Navjeevan Exp and see. train starts morn 10.10 passenger eats and litter at same place throw on the floor.Full littering. Pls worry about cleanliness and hygiene keep coach clean others r also traveling .Dustbin is available. Its your property.

Our “civic sense” switches ON only after immigration stamps. Here, it’s beyond even God’s capacity to enforce it, people just can’t. Simple.

These people deserve trains which were running 50years earlier. Civic sense is a subject which should mandatorily be taught to students from class one.

Jail main daalo 2 din ke liye. Sab apne aap sudhar jayenge. Also dog owners who take their own in the park and don't clean their foul because they think it's BMC's job. They have amazing dogs but sadly can't say the same for their owners. Also people who smoke in park and think it's completely fine to do that because it's completely fine to make other people your passive smoking partner. Those littering anywhere, should be called back to do cleaning service for atleast 1 hour in any of the public places along with the regular cleaning staff or pay heavy penalty.

Problem is deep rooted. When basic education becomes a money making affair even to the level of 'play schools' everythi g else takes a back seat. Should address core problem.

Time to take this menace seriously, course on civic sense to be made mandatory from class 1 to 5, giving importance on par with maths..probably they can start with intermediary science since class and move further up...else, even after 20 years we will be at the same level

Identify them with their seat numbers , fine them and ban them from life from taking any sort of transportation services for ever … problem solved !!

Either teach the kids early like the Japanese do OR 2 years military service should be made mandatory.

This is surprise.Child should be taught to behave from the very first day in KG .My father gave me a gift called Socrates in Town.I read that small booklet to learn to behave.
