You don't understand fun till your glove gets wrapped up in the snake. I will usually try a drain cleaning bladder first.

To help maintain a clear drain, I use Sulfuric Acid Drain cleaner every few months or so to make sure it remains clear. Long hair, coupled with Oily Liquid Bath Soaps & Gels will always cause problems with drains clogging up and smelling badly.
