This week, our warriors achieved important results in imposing long-range sanctions against Russian facilities that fuel this war. Ukrainian drones reached Siberia and struck the oil refinery in Omsk – nearly 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine. Now, no Russian oil refinery is beyond the reach of Ukrainian weapons. Our responses to Russian strikes also targeted oil facilities in the Saratov, Rostov, Tver, Stavropol, and Krasnodar regions, as well as in Tatarstan and Bashkortostan. An airfield in the Voronezh region and a strategic enterprise in Tver were hit. Drones were also used against facilities in the Moscow, Leningrad, and Bryansk regions. ❗️Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov stated that Ukraine will not be able to surpass Russia in terms of the scale of funding or the number of personnel, but will prevail thanks to new technologies. According to him, during the latest massive attack on Kyiv, Ukrainian air defense intercepted 95% of the “Shahed” drones. If true, the implications are significant. Air defense systems are not unlimited. Every Pantsir moved to Moscow is a Pantsir that cannot protect a logistics hub, ammunition depot, airfield, refinery, command center, or military formation elsewhere. This highlights one of the most important effects of Ukraine’s long-range drone campaign. Ukraine is no longer simply destroying targets. It is forcing Russia to make difficult choices. For years, Russian air defenses were concentrated around military facilities and the front. Now Moscow itself increasingly requires protection as Ukrainian drones reach deeper into Russian territory with growing frequency. The result is a dilemma for the Kremlin. Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a unique operation targeting the naval base in Novorossiysk – the last major stronghold of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, more than 300 kilometers from the front line. Our Palianytsia jet-powered drones, Neptune missiles, and unmanned naval systems successfully struck the designated targets. Hits on air defense positions, piers, and seaport infrastructure have been confirmed.
