Hi folks, this is me and my video! I think uncredited repost mills like this are a scourge on social media :)

Bees generally can’t fly at night, they use the sun as a compass. Even if the sun is behind clouds, bees can infer it’s position using patterns of polarised light So they may sleep in flowers, many blossoms close up at night, creating a warm space

"What if they're measuring the rotation of the earth?" That would imply its easier for bees to feel the earth moving than to understand time has passed.

I do find it interesting how so many colony insects have developed relative complex societies, skills, and even some examples of basic technology like agriculture and domestication despite the individual lack of intelligence. Makes you wonder what the actual limitations of different types of networked intelligences might be.

The reason they percieve time is that more simple life forms aren't clouded by permutations. They can just spend all day counting "123, 124, 125, 126 (suga time)" on repeat and averaged out by swarm variance which still averages out at almost perfect time. Jk

I’d like to follow up with this guy in a few years. See what else he’s discovered.
