🚨#BREAKING: In just 13 days a spectacular and rare event known as the Ring of Fire will take place across the United States 📌#UnitedStates | #USA On October 14th, 2023, eight states in the United States will witness a spectacular and rare event known as the "Ring of Fire" or an annular eclipse. During this phenomenon, approximately 90 percent of the sun will be obscured by the moon. Not to worry, for the rest of the United States will experience a partial eclipse, where the sun won't be fully covered. The lucky states that will witness the annular eclipse, also known as the "Ring of Fire," are Oregon, Northern California, northern Nevada, southern Utah, southwest Colorado, Northern Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas time will start around 9:15 PDT. However, the most significant even is set to occur on April 8th, 2024. As a total solar eclipse will take place

Tonight, a total solar eclipse will cross parts of Europe. I’m also very happy to see my project featured in Datawrapper’s Dispatch, alongside wonderful work from Reuters and The New York Times — teams whose work I’ve admired for years. It’s a real honor to be in such company. Over the past few days, I’ve made a lot of improvements to my Solar Eclipse Atlas. I’m especially grateful to Ernie Wright, a lead visualization specialist at NASA, who took the time to review the project and suggest a small but important improvement. I’ve already implemented it, making the visualization of eclipse paths more accurate. I’ve also added a new feature to the city view. You can now hover over any eclipse and see how it actually unfolded in the sky: how the Moon moved across the Sun, or how it will move during a future eclipse. So for any city, you can now simulate any solar eclipse from 2000 BCE to 3000 CE and see what it looked like from that exact place on Earth. #eclipse #sun
