He actually performed perfectly right here. Stood his ground and had his gun ready incase the bear got brave. A lot of people (most likely people who have zero experience with the outside world) are criticizing him for having his kid in front of him... We don't know the context, and we don't know his intentions. However, what we DO know is if he even took a second to move his kid and look away... That could've been a death sentence. You NEVER look away from a potential predator.

Wife & I were on a trip through the Canadian Rockies that started at Lake McDonald in Montana. There was a Grizzly roaming around the hotel, so they put out a big steel cage. In the morning before we started our hike around the lake, a Forest Ranger met with us to tell us how to survive a bear attack. He said your noise makers are useless, b/c they just tell the bear where you are, & that bear mace just pisses them off, so the only sure way to survive a bear attack was to make sure you were with someone that you could outrun.😂🤣😂
