Lovely bit of mechanism. The Germans got there from a captured aeroplane. Roland Garros had bolted steel wedges to his blades so his own rounds bounced off, and once he came down Fokker built a cam off the engine to pull the trigger once a turn. Did the wedges cost him thrust?
