In 2022 the freedom convoy was protesting against a Government that mandated people to take a product they didn’t want, they were protesting against severe overreach, our Government controlled where people could or couldn’t go, they implemented a system where you needed to show your papers. Where were the “no tyrants” protestors of today? Oh right, cheering on the Government to make more rules for them & to remove people against tyranny. They are frauds. Never forget.

What I know is that when the ultra-rich and special interests were on a roll in the 1920s and started controlling the government, they crashed the economy and caused the Great Depression. When the ultra-rich and big banks were controlling the government, they were “on a roll” and caused the Great Recession in 2008. We’ve got to stop that roll—we can’t let them do something like that again. The only cure, the only solution to oligarchy, is the actual power of working people. The only solution to wannabe autocrats is more democracy. So we need more and more people to show up and speak out against Trump and Musk’s abuses. And when people speak out, we start to recognize that we actually still do live in a democracy, where we can have a real check and balance on these billionaires..

There was no intention to protest or demand anything from the government; people were only going for a peaceful presence to mourn and to pay tribute to Bangabandhu. Not only the Awami League activists but also many general people of Bangladesh were going to Dhanmondi 32, yet the autocratic government and their goons in the name of ‘Chhatra-Janata’ did not allow that to happen. More than 500 people were beaten to severe injuries.
