Look at the crowd of people who queued for the Huawei Mate60 Pro+ and Mate X5 in China. I feel so happy seeing Huawei rising like this again, even though it is "just" in its own country. Once Huawei can give us awesome phones again that are great in all aspects, I think more people (not just in China) will start to use Huawei phones again. The future is getting brighter again for this company and I'm excited to see what they'll do next year.

I saw the Huawei Pura X Max in person, and I actually like this form factor. I usually use my foldable phones for productivity (typing, photo editing, etc.) more than content consumption. But with this form factor, it is more suitable for content consumption, like watching movies or YouTube videos, for example. And I also love how compact it is compared to other book-style foldable phones. Now I'm also excited about the upcoming iPhone Fold and Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide if they have a similar form factor as this Huawei phone. If it had already been available to buy before my flight home, I would've bought this phone already.

We cut open the Kirin 9030 and put it under an electron microscope. The smallest metal pitch measures 32.5 nanometers. That is tighter than Intel 18A, their brand new leading edge node. A Chinese fab with no EUV is out-pitching Intel's EUV node by roughly 10 percent. What's going on here? 🤯 "This is the HiSilicon Kirin 9030, the chip inside Huawei's newest flagship phone. A few weeks ago, we cut it open, put it under an electron microscope, and measured the smallest wires inside the chip, the metal pitch. And what we saw was unexpected. The smallest metal pitch inside the Kirin 9030 measures only 32.5 nanometers. That’s smaller than the metal pitch in Panther Lake, which is based on Intel's brand-new 18A node. A Chinese fab, cut off from the most advanced tools, without EUV, is packing its wires about ten percent tighter than Intel's leading edge EUV node. What’s going on here?"

China is planning to spend around 2 trillion yuan ($295 billion) over the next five years to build data centers across the country At least 80% of all AI chips must come from domestic suppliers, primarily Huawei. This Bada app, which is still under development, enables file sharing between non-iOS phones. Whether you are using an international Samsung model or a China version Samsung model, it can share files with OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Honor, and even Huawei HarmonyOS devices. In essence, Bada temporarily gives Android and HarmonyOS devices that do not have native Quick Share support a Quick Share-like file sharing capability. I tested it myself. After installing Bada on the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max through ZhuoyiTong, it was able to transfer files with a Samsung phone successfully. The demo below shows file sharing between the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max. The process is very convenient. Just select photos or videos in the gallery, choose Bada the same way you would use Samsung sharing, then tap confirm on the Huawei phone to receive the files.
