The 2024 Lok Sabha election was a rude awakening for the BJP. The party that boasted “Abki Baar 400 Paar” failed to secure a single majority. Now they have begun weaponising constitutional bodies to tilt the electoral scales in their favour. The “Karte Loot, Bolte Jhooth” party failed to win on votes, so now they are trying to win by notes, by misusing money and muscle. They have crossed the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ by conducting SIR in Bengal. If electoral accuracy were the concern, why is SIR being carried out only in Opposition-ruled states among the four heading to polls? Why was BJP-ruled Assam exempted? If the aim was to eliminate “Bangladeshis” and “Rohingyas” from the rolls, why only target Bengal? Bengal shares a border with Bangladesh, just like Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Mizoram. But only Bengal is being singled out. Similarly, states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram, which share borders with Myanmar, are exempted from SIR. Why? Because SIR is nothing but NRC through the backdoor. Who gave the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and a certain Mir Jafar the authority to question our legitimacy as citizens on the very soil our forefathers bled for? Who authorised them to demand our parents’ birth certificates and make us prove our existence? Do not mistake our civility for weakness. In this fight for people’s identity, constitutional rights, and survival, the Bangla-Birodhis will confront a defeat like never before. Should any harm come to our people, should a single genuine voter be unfairly struck off the rolls, the people of Bengal will march to Delhi with the cry “BJP Hatao, Odhikaar Bachao.” We will bring the zamindars to their knees and, through democratic means, consign this assault on our rights to dust.

A QUICK TECH FIX TO BYPASS THE TEDIOUS MANUAL SEARCH IN SIR DRAFT ROLL–2026 Tired of manually scanning ~1,000 names in the SIR Draft Roll–2026 just to check whether your name exists? Here’s a simple workaround. 🔹 Download the PDF of the SIR–2026 Draft Roll for your Polling Station 🔹 Right-click → Open with the latest version of Google Chrome (Desktop/Laptop only) 🔹 Chrome magically makes the PDF searchable, even though the Spokesperson ECI had rendered it machine non-readable on almost all standard PDF readers, including Adobe. 👉 This means Ctrl + F works in Chrome, sparing you the eye-straining, page-by-page hunt. I am attaching screen recording. Trust me: I spent nearly 15 minutes manually scanning every page of the correct polling booth and still couldn’t find my name. This trick worked instantly. #GyaneshKumar certainly makes life “interesting” for those of us who enjoy pushing technology to its limits 😃 Background (Why this hack is needed): ✅ Since 2023, Election Commission of India has been issuing Electoral Rolls in machine non-readable PDFs. As a result, searching names using Ctrl+F is disabled on most PDF readers. ✅ Shockingly, even EPIC numbers are not searchable in the SIR Draft Roll PDFs, arguably in violation of directions of the #SupremeCourtofIndia, making verification unnecessarily cumbersome. ✅ Searching by EPIC number or personal details on only gives the serial number in the existing Electoral Roll, which may not match the serial number in the SIR Draft Roll–2026, because: Some voters above you may not have submitted enrolment forms, or Their data could not be mapped till now with the 2002–03 SIR database. ✅ Opening the PDF in the latest Chrome (Desktop) solves this problem. ✅ For Indian language rolls (including Hindi), use a Unicode-enabled keyboard such as the Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool or similar. ⚠️ Note: This workaround works on a PC/laptop only. The mobile version of Chrome doesn’t support this yet, maybe a future update will. So, Jagat Prakash Nadda Mallikarjun Kharge Mamata Banerjee M.K.Stalin - தமிழ்நாட்டை தலைகுனிய விடமாட்டேன் Rahul Gandhi Pinarayi Vijayan may also want to run some quick data analytics using this very trick. Incidentally, there are simple and well-established tools through which such electoral roll PDFs can be made fully machine-readable. This is precisely what Nitin Sethi and his team demonstrated while identifying over 14 lakh duplicate voters in #BiharSIR2025. In an era where data analytics, AI, and OCR tools are routine, it is difficult to comprehend why the Election Commission of India continues to insist on issuing non-searchable electoral rolls, by relying on a narrow interpretation of the Kamal Nath judgment (2018) on Electoral Rolls. Transparency, verifiability, and ease of access are core democratic values, not optional conveniences. Purity of electoral rolls must take precedence over individual privacy. After all, the Electoral Roll only has age and address. A democracy survives on one person–one vote, not on opacity disguised as data protection. Free and fair elections are a constitutional imperative and that requires a publicly verifiable Electoral Rolls. 🙏 CEO Uttar Pradesh CEO West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh CEO RAJASTHAN Maneesh Garg IAS Rajdeep ThePrintIndia Chief Electoral Officer Tamil Nadu may also want to have a look.

বিহার থেকে ভোটার এনে কারচুপির খেলা বাংলা থেকে বিজেপি এবার লেজ গুটিয়ে পালা Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have become daily passengers to Bengal because elections are around the corner. But when North Bengal drowns in misery every year due to floods and natural calamities, both engines of their “Double Engine” sarkar fail completely. What have the people of North Bengal actually received from the BJP? Nothing. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Not a single long-term measure to tackle the recurring flood crisis. The ₹1,000 crore package announced in 2021 was never released. No meaningful steps were taken to unlock the immense tourism potential of the region. Instead, what this “Dabba Engine” has delivered is only exploitation, humiliation, and torment. Withholding PF dues of tea garden workers. Serving NRC notices to our Rajbanshi brothers and sisters. Conspiring to divide North Bengal. Gunning down innocent people in Sitalkuchi They have left behind a trail of misery, death, and destruction. And now, through the double blow of fraudulent SIR and thousands of fake Form 6 applications, they are trying to snatch away even your voting rights and hand them over to outsiders from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. But the people have had enough. If even one-third of the massive crowds that gathered at our janasabhas in Sitalkuchi, Rajganj, and Falakata in support of our candidates, Harihar Das, Swapna Barman, and Subhash Chandra Roy, stand in line and press the Joraphool button on 23rd April, পাগলা খাবি কী ঝাঁঝে মরে যাবি...

On behalf of the West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee, we submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission of India a short while ago. We have made two key demands. First, the election schedule should be announced only after all cases currently under adjudication are disposed of. We believe the Supreme Court and the Election Commission should set a clear deadline for completing this process, and the election process in West Bengal should begin only thereafter. We also want to draw attention to a serious anomaly in the data released by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal. On 20 January, after the claims and objections process ended, the CEO reported that about 9.64 lakh Form 6 applications and only 99,000 Form 7 applications had been received. However, the final press note issued on 28 February states that out of more than 9.5 lakh Form 6 applications, only about 1.8 lakh were accepted, meaning nearly 7.8 lakh applications for voter additions were rejected. Even more concerning is that while only 99,000 Form 7 deletion applications were reported until the last day of claims and objections, the final report says that 5,46,000 voters were deleted through Form 7 applications. This raises a serious question: where did these additional Form 7 applications come from after the deadline had already passed? We have therefore asked the Election Commission to re-verify both the large number of Form 7 applications after the final date and the massive rejection of Form 6 applications. : Prasenjit Bose ji 📍 Delhi

In just a few hours, our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will deliver a speech full of lofty promises at a rally in Durgapur. Before addressing the bhai-bahen (brothers and sisters) of Bengal, I urge you, Narendra Modi ji, to first listen to the voice of this brother from the Matua community in the video below. Please watch how this Matua brother breaks down in tears, sharing the painful ordeal of his two sons in Maharashtra — a state governed by your party, the BJP. Nishikanta Biswas, a resident of Ranaghat in Nadia district, says his family voted for the BJP. Yet, his sons, Manishankar and Nayan — who went to Maharashtra for work — have been languishing in police custody for the past six months. Their ailing mother, paralysed and desperate for support, still doesn’t know when your party-controlled state police will release her sons, who alone can arrange treatment for her. These Matua youths possess all necessary documents, including a special identity card from the All India Matua Mahasangha — issued by none other than your party’s MP, Shantanu Thakur. Even that failed to protect them from the anti-Bengali wrath of the Maharashtra BJP government, which continues to detain them unlawfully. Let me make it clear: We are not supporting infiltrators. Our fight is for Bengali-speaking Indian citizens whose rights are being trampled. Before showering praises on Bengal and Bengalis from your rally podium, please answer the following questions raised by the Matua community: 1.BJP leaders in Bengal keep asserting that all detainees suspected of being Bangladeshis are Rohingyas. Do you endorse this view? If so, how do you explain the treatment of these two Matua brothers — devout Hindus and Indian citizens? 2.If all such detainees are truly Rohingyas, why are Hindu citizens being persecuted in BJP-ruled states? 3.If these two are not Indian citizens, how did your own MP and Union Minister, Shantanu Thakur, issue them identity cards under the All India Matua Mahasangha? 4.This incident exposes the BJP’s anti-Bengali mindset and rips off the mask of so-called nationalism and inclusivity. We know you won’t miss the chance to invoke the names of Tagore, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Vivekananda, or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in your speech. But can you explain why the language and identity of these very icons — Bengali — are being systematically sidelined and criminalized in BJP-ruled states? You may try to dodge these questions — but the tears in the eyes of these Matua sons will echo through the streets of Bengal and deliver a fitting reply in the 2026 Assembly elections.
