Hugh Jackman should’ve stopped playing Wolverine after Logan. Jackman’s refusal to just retire Wolverine & move on with his career is disappointing & I hope he doesn’t return in Doomsday. I wrote back in 2018 that Jackman deserved consideration for an Oscar after what he did in Logan. In a word? Sublime. Had it not been such a loaded year, Jackman might’ve gotten a nom. Not only that, my love for director James Mangold grew even stronger after this movie. It’s the perfect send off. There’s no better way to say goodbye to a character than this film. This should’ve been the final note.
