Hummingbird cooling down in a heatwave

A Hummingbird snoring while sleeping

In the heat of the summer these birds knew how to cool off in my backyard.

I was using the hose to water some grass one evening. I had it set at a mist. Suddenly a hummingbird appeared and began playing in the mist right in front of me. I reached for my phone but I don’t have it. So I just enjoyed the experience 😊.

Imagine having the highest metabolism in the animal kingdom and then realizing your own body's heat is the real enemy. It's a biological nightmare.

@YUranium235 Beautiful little friend

I see hummingbirds do this in the filter fountain I have in my pond all the time during the summer. 😃

I feel SO incredibly bad for all the wildlife out there. We've destroyed so much and they are suffering because of it. 😭😭

Such amazing little creatures. They must be experiencing time in a different way than we do.

They are amazing little birds!

Amazing

It's actually trying to chill its balls, guys. Must be kinda hot down there.

please someone have to cool me down like this it’s 98 outside 😭

looks like fun! 😊

So tender and precious...so precious

The bird looks enjoying wash its feather. Im thinking if its real 🤔 @truth_scan is it real video?

Even the fastest heartbeat on Earth needs a splash break 💦😂 Look at the little legend turning a street grate into it own heatwave spa. Nature always finds a way.💪

¡Qué hermoso!

Sweet

That’s cool

@newenglandgrl

The little one really hates the heat, too.😂

Dear Kelly. Do you have to say something on your own from time to time ? Just asking.

Even the birds are cooling down better than my bank account this summer
