Cass Tech senior class president Brizait Gonzalez Rivera: “This is a movement… We are here for people who don’t have voices who are suffering at the moment who are in detention camps. As a Mexican American, I feel for them.”

10th grader Kingston Pendergraft says Black and Hispanic people should stand together against ICE, which he calls a white supremacist organization. “They’re coming after everybody… Fuck ICE,” he says.

Detroit schools have an absenteeism problem and the district promotes this? They had to PAY kids to come to school. Half the city can’t read. There was a time when going to Cass Tech meant you were smart. This is such a disgrace.
