The Minister for Security, Maj Gen (rtd) Jim Muhwezi, wants a bylaw to regulate the consumption of alcohol. According to him, the rate at which alcohol is consumed in Uganda is worrying. They are now fear-mongering that Joe Biden is going to cut your beer off at just 2 beers per week. This is because George Koob, the director for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, said that the US recommendations for alcohol consumption might move closer to Canada’s recommendations which are two or less drinks a week. No one is going to tell anyone they can't have more than this. It's just a recommendation. Calm down!
