Hunter Maats on Joe Rogan explaining how Thomas Sowell has spent decades fighting racism — not by denying it exists, but by insisting culture matters more than most people want to admit. Joe Rogan He puts two groups of Black people side by side: West Indians (think Colin Powell)...

Thomas Sowell’s most dangerous book. Most people think “black culture” comes from Africa or slavery. Sowell said no. Before 1900, 90% of black Americans lived in the South. The culture that formed there — including speech patterns like “he be goin’” — came largely from the Scotch-Irish whites who settled the South. Those same Scotch-Irish already had high rates of crime, violence, and honor culture back in Britain. The pathologies weren’t invented by black people. They were inherited.

The progressive theory of racial progress has a fatal flaw: It has never worked. Thomas Sowell looked across the entire world and history and could not find a single country where the policies now pushed for black Americans actually lifted people out of poverty. Coleman Hughes explains why this insight is so devastating. Most American intellectuals start with America and then invent theories. Sowell started with the rest of the world and asked what actually worked. Groups that rose did it through culture and behavior. Groups that received lowered standards and handouts did not. There is still no serious answer to this from the left.

Merton’s strain theory, one of the most cited explanations for crime, says people turn to crime when poverty blocks their legitimate path to success. But (1) poverty theories as such could not explain men who already had every legitimate means in hand. In response, Sutherland coined the term “white collar” crime in 1939 for offenses committed by people of wealth and high status. Think Epstein. (2) the strain theory never confronts other variables such as culture, habits, and the values that produce work in some people and predation in others. Or variables that produce both poverty and crime. Or the inverse case (crime causes poverty). As Thomas Sowell noted, crime fell in eras when poverty was far worse and then exploded after the 1960s as family breakdown and short term thinking spread. This explains why married couples stay out of poverty at high rates while household wrecking patterns fill prisons.

“In the academic world, diversity means black leftists, white leftists, female leftists, and Hispanic leftists. Demographic diversity conceals ideological conformity.” - Thomas Sowell Peter Thiel made the same diagnosis in 1996. He watched universities celebrate racial and gender diversity while systematically stamping out diversity of thought. His point was simple. A campus full of people who look different but think alike is not diverse, it’s just ideological monopoly wearing a costume. Sowell and Thiel were describing the same phenomenon from different angles. Multiculturalism and “diversity” were never the end goal. They were the instrument. The real objective has always been the capture of institutions, universities, corporations, government, culture, and the enforcement of one narrow worldview. Demographic checkboxes were the most effective tool available to achieve that. Once the institutions were staffed and policed by people who already agreed on the fundamentals, dissent became “hate,” disagreement became “harm,” and the old liberal commitment to open inquiry quietly died. The diversity bureaucracy eventually succeeded at what it was actually designed to do. So “the next time some academics tell you how important ‘diversity’ is, ask how many Republicans there are in their sociology department.” - Thomas Sowell

Fat Joe (Joseph Antonio Cartagena) is a Black Latino man of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent whose African ancestry, Bronx upbringing, and lifelong immersion in hip-hop culture make him an authentic representative of Black culture within the genre‼️. He has repeatedly affirmed this identity, including in conversations with Charlamagne tha God, and his body of work demonstrates concrete contributions that helped shape and expand hip-hop‼️. Puerto Rican and Cuban populations have significant African ancestry from the transatlantic slave trade; genetic studies and historical records show substantial West African admixture in both groups‼️. Fat Joe has publicly discussed his roots in these terms‼️. In appearances and discussions with Charlamagne (including Breakfast Club and related platforms), he has spoken about growing up in the South Bronx as a product of that mixed heritage‼️emphasizing the Black and Latino realities of the neighborhood that produced early hip-hop‼️. He has rejected attempts to erase the African component of his background, framing his origin as inseparable from the same street, cultural, and musical environment that Black Americans and Afro-Latinos shared in New York‼️. This is not performative; it aligns with how many Afro-Puerto Ricans and Afro-Cubans understand their identity: Black by blood and experience while also Latino by language, family, and nationality‼️. Hip-hop was born in the Bronx among Black and Puerto Rican youth‼️. Fat Joe came of age in that exact milieu in the 1980s–90s‼️. He did not enter the culture as an outsider; he was formed by it‼️block parties, battles, the same parks and projects that produced the foundational generation‼️. His accent, slang, fashion, swagger, and lyrical references have always been those of Bronx street culture, which is Black American at its core with heavy Afro-Latino participation‼️. He has consistently centered that shared experience rather than distancing himself from it‼️. Claiming otherwise ignores both genetics and the lived history of the genre’s birthplace‼️. Concrete Contributions to Hip-Hop Artist and label builder⁉️: As a solo artist and founder of Terror Squad, he gave platforms to artists (including Big Pun, who was also Puerto Rican with African ancestry) and helped keep hardcore East Coast street rap commercially viable in the late ’90s and early 2000s‼️. Hits that crossed over while staying rooted: “Lean Back,” “What’s Luv⁉️” (with Ashanti), “Make It Rain,” and collaborations with artists across the spectrum moved units and radio while retaining the aggressive, street-oriented sound associated with Black hip-hop of the era‼️. Cultural bridge without dilution⁉️: He brought Latino presence into mainstream hip-hop conversations without soft-pedaling the genre’s Black foundations‼️. His work with producers, rappers, and DJs from the core hip-hop community reinforced rather than diluted the culture‼️. Decades of consistent output, features, and public advocacy for the art form have kept him an active elder statesman who still speaks the language of the streets that created hip-hop‼️. When Fat Joe discusses his origins with Charlamagne, he is describing the same Bronx Black/Latino continuum that produced hip-hop itself‼️. His African ancestry is real, his cultural formation is real, and his contributions are measurable in records sold, artists launched, and the continued visibility of that New York street sound‼️. Attempts to separate him from Black culture require ignoring both genetics and the actual history of the genre he helped carry forward‼️.

When Insurance Was Worth More Than Black Lives One day in 1781, a slave ship's crew threw over 100 Africans overboard to a watery death in the Atlantic Ocean, not by accident, but because British law allowed it, insurance covered it and 143 Africans deaths was an acceptable investment into an insurance scam. The Zong massacre may have taken place over 240 years ago in 1781, but it remains a clear reflection of how the Global North has always valued African lives both historically and to date. As with so many other cases where African lives were wasted for the sake of completely unbridled European greed, recognition of the crime has never been formally established, and no compensation has been given to the African communities on both sides of the Atlantic that were the victims of this crime. The Global North has always placed a relatively low price on the bodies and blood of Africans - a price that has been paid millions of times to feed its imperial economy and build its infrastructure. It still does the same today through the mechanics of neo-colonialism, which enables it to continue taking from Africa to maintain its hegemonic global position. Africa needs to open its eyes to the fact that the imperial Global North has never changed and it remains the real ultimate enemy of African progress.

Joe Rogan blasts far right Republicans for there lack of compassion: “You see that from the right too. The really s***** right wing people that are very dismissive of entire swaths of people and culture and don’t take into consideration the nuance involved in like crime ridden areas, and how those things became that in the first place. All that pull them up by their bootstraps bull****, all that no need for a social safety net stuff, all that like lack of compassion, lack of caring about people, that masquerades as conservatism.” People constantly accuse Rogan of being an alt right influencer, when in reality he is and always has been openly liberal. Some may even go to the extent to say he’s a “radical liberal” when it comes to ideas such as social safety nets in society, which stems from his family growing up on food stamps and unemployment when he was a child. Rogan as of late may criticize the left more than he does the right, but that’s because he feels disenfranchised by the party that he followed his entire life. Do you think of Joe Rogan as being right leaning or left leaning👇🏻

Last night (Tuesday), 24 February, at around 8:00 P.M about 20 Israeli settlers raided the village of Khirbet Susiya, in the South Hebron Hills. They attacked homes and cars with stones, and set fire to three tents, a pre-fab, chicken coops and cars at several spots throughout the village. About 300 people live in the village, half of them minors. They are subjected to daily violence by settlers and the military, with the backing of all Israeli state authorities. Footage also shows a group of settlers trying to damage cameras to prevent documentation of the attack. None of the assailants were detained. Yesterday’s attack on Khirbet Susiya is part of Israel’s broader onslaught against Palestinians, who remain defenseless in the face of unchecked violence by militias and the Israeli military. Israel’s ethnic cleansing in the West Bank has so far displaced more than 4,000 Palestinians from their homes, with 51 communities expelled in their entirety and 14 communities in part. The daily violence towards Palestinians in the West Bank continues as Israel maintains a system of military occupation and systemic impunity for settler violence, while the international community stands by.

KWAME TURE BLASTS AFRICAN BOURGEOISIE On this day in 1998, Pan-African revolutionary and icon Kwame Ture died in Guinea, Conakry. Born on 29 June 1941, Ture, formerly known as Stokely Carmichael, moved to the United States from Trinidad with his family at 11. He led a life marked by a strong dedication to the Pan-African cause. In his mid-20s, he became chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which primarily focused on organising and mobilising Black people in the US South to exercise their voting rights. He later oversaw SNCC members who co-founded the Lowndes County Freedom Organization, an SNCC affiliate focused on registering Black voters in Lowndes County, Alabama. Ture was at the forefront of this struggle throughout the 1960s, from the Freedom Rides (challenging segregation at bus stops) to the rise of the Black Power Movement. He later helped found the All-African People's Revolutionary Party. The majority of Ture's last three decades were spent in the West African nation of Guinea, a testament to his commitment to Pan-Africanism. Here, he adopted the name ‘Kwame Tureaud in honour of Ghana's founding leader and Pan-African icon Kwame Nkrumah and Guinea's then-president Sékou Touré, two revolutionaries he drew a lot of inspiration from. Despite becoming friends with many African leaders during his time on the continent, Ture never held back from calling out the worst tendencies of the African bourgeoisie. He pointed out that it was essential to understand that not all Africans are on the side of the masses and revolutionaries. In remembrance of this great son of Africa, here is a 1989 clip of him exposing the African bourgeoisie.

Let’s kill this lie once and for all: Racism doesn’t come from working-class struggle. To claim the white working class would treat Black and Brown people better if they were economically happier is dishonest. It paints them as thoughtless, incapable of moral choice, and worse, it excuses their racism. Poverty doesn’t create racism; white supremacy does. And blaming hardship is just another way to protect it. If they truly cared about their economic struggle, they’d know what’s in Nigel Farage’s manifesto. They’d see that his policies are a direct assault on their own livelihoods. But they don’t care to know, because racism is the priority, not survival. In the age of the internet, ignorance is a choice. Information is at their fingertips, yet they choose hate over truth, division over solidarity. There are no excuses left. They’re complicit, and it’s time we stop pretending otherwise. White liberals in Britain, including Individuals like Gary Stevenson and others who see themselves as non-racists, or the ‘not all white people’ brigade end up gate keeping the deeply entrenched racism in the UK, this direct attack, this insult to the intelligence of Black and Brown people also shines a light on the extent of implicit racism permeated within Britain as a whole. This protects the very structures that uphold white supremacy. Their ‘white fragility’ exposes the truth: Britain’s racism isn’t confined to the far right. It’s polite, it’s intellectual, it’s middle-class. It hides behind reasoned tones and liberal credentials. And that’s why this country never has an honest conversation about racism, because white people of every class are terrified of what the mirror will show them. The truth is too ugly, and they’d rather rewrite it than face it.

I commend you for asking a very pertinent question. When Black people talk about "racism", they usually mean White racism against Blacks. In this particular context, "racism" - mindless prejudice against the members of a given race, usually by those of another race - admits of two confounding factors: empirical science (the observed behavior of a given group), and mathematics (the statistics of the group). As a group, Blacks suffer from markedly negative group statistics having especially to do with extremely high rates of violent crime exacerbated by much lower than average mean intelligence and impulse control. The reasons include genetics (e.g., aggression-promoting alleles of the COMT and MAOA genes) and brain anatomy, especially involving the prefrontal cortex. In combination, these statistics establish a significant correlation between highly melanized skin and hostile, aggressive, irrational behavior. This is exacerbated by indoctrination. Many Blacks seem unable to resist divisive propaganda urging them to hate White people. This is why, as a group, they tend to blame all of their problems disproportionately on Whites. Unfortunately, this in itself is a form of racism, and it appears to be even more pronounced than the "racism" imputed to Whites. Can anything be done about it? One would hope so. It might help if Blacks were to modify their own attitudes and behaviors in a positive (smarter, less antisocial, and more constructive) direction. It never hurts to take some responsibility for one's problems. Bear in mind that that while you may be smart and well-intentioned enough to follow through on this, many other Blacks are not. This is a predictable consequence of the above facts. Best wishes in trying to bring about improvement.

The N-word No white person actually wants to say the n-word...publicly. There is no contingent of white people who believe that saying the n-word somehow affirms their First Amendment right. And I won't pretend that it is a thing. Any white person who wants to say it will say it when the cameras are off or on. But in 2026, some whites want to say it only while the cameras are rolling. Why? Because racism is an industry and the n-word is a commodity. It's like an illicit drug whose dealers are white right-wing grifters and black liberals. Those are literally the only groups who care about that word. Everyone else knows how to be a normal civil human being. Only bankrupt whites are dying, say the word. Bankrupt intellectually, morally, and/or financially. When a person struggles intellectually, they tend to struggle financially. And there are interests who finance chaos. Remember George Soros and his reputation for financing discord in nations? There is nothing different here. A poor, struggling white can run to social media with rage bait to make a living while national and foreign interests fund it. Remember when the SPLC was accused of financing the same white supremacist groups they were supposed to be fighting? Outward racism is so uncommon that it needs to be manufactured. The black liberal is unemployed without the racist white. So, it is in his best interest to find and feed into racism. His wallet depends on it. The white racist and the black liberal have a symbiotic relationship. They need each other. Without one, there would be no other. And what do they have in common? A lot! They both identify with their race before their god. They both agree that the white man has all the power. They both believe in race-based employment practices. They both hate black men. And of course, they both use race as a tool to reach a certain level of success. The only thing that separates them is their skin color. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. What we're seeing is a psychological operation designed to divide and conquer the people. This is the white version of black lives matter. This is the White Lives Matter movement. The financial interests saw how well BLM worked, so they are rebooting the same game plan, but with white people. The white people who are falling for this fall into two categories. Low IQ and grifters. The grifters do not have enough intelligence to get social media engagement from ingenuity and invention, so they pick the low-hanging fruit of rage bait. The low IQ blacks feed into it, and the low IQ whites follow the trend because they see the enormous engagement. However, that engagement isn't real. Those are trolls and bot farms from the same financial interests who wish to see this country divided. A united people are unstoppable, and the financial interests know this. Our politicians, who are fed by the financial interests, know this. Politics runs on problems. But the severe problems are never addressed because the petty ones are kept on the front page. In order to right this ship, we must increase our intelligence. We must learn where to place our focus. And require more from our elected officials and influencers. They runts salivate when the headline reads white vs black. It is a cash event for them. I say, we need to let them starve!

Konstantin Kisin made a point that cuts to the heart of one of the most forbidden conversations in the West today. He argued that much of our current cultural tension stems from an unspoken assumption: that all groups of people are not just equal in dignity and rights, but essentially the same in their aptitudes and outcomes. When reality shows persistent group differences — whether in sports, professions, or other fields — we’re left scrambling for explanations that avoid cultural or, God forbid, genetic factors. Kisin referenced Thomas Sowell’s observation that different groups naturally excel in different areas: Germans dominating global brewing (including China’s Tsingtao), Latinos overrepresented in baseball, white people in hockey, Black people in the NBA. These patterns, he says, are the normal human condition, not evidence of systemic failure. The problem arises, he suggests, when a society insists that any deviation from perfect uniformity must be explained by oppression or discrimination, rather than accepting that people and groups simply differ in strengths and interests. It’s a provocative take on why honest discussion about group differences has become so difficult. What do you think — are group differences in outcomes mostly cultural and environmental, or do we need to be more open to the possibility that biology and natural aptitudes also play a role?

New: Joe Rogan is in total disbelief after producer Jamie and comedian Ali Siddiq reveal the truth about sports betting and how NBA players like Malik Beasley are facing up to 20 years in federal prison for throwing games to pay off massive gambling debts: ROGAN: “This is going to result in people ending up dead. There’s real people who bet on the losing side of these games that were fixed.” JAMIE: “A lot of them have to do with player props where these guys might just try really hard to get extra rebounds.” ROGAN: “Wait a minute that just means he was playing well. What’s wrong with that?” JAMIE: “The other one he fixed the spread by sprinting down the court to score with 3 seconds left when they were down by 10.” ROGAN: “He’s just scoring though why would anybody question that?” SIDDIQ: “Joe you’re down by 10 and there’s 5 seconds left in the game. The game is over. Who tries that hard to lose by 8 instead. The point spread was 8.5.” ROGAN: “F*ck you I want that ball in the net. It just means you’re competitive to the end. It’s not like he’s missing on purpose.” SIDDIQ: “Joe all of the starters were out of the game.” ROGAN: “Aside from the legal system, sports betting has been the most crooked aspect of the human race in the past 100 years.”
