Brembo’s Sensify Braking System is now in series production on vehicles from a major undisclosed global automaker. Sensify is a software controlled, fluid-free brake-by-wire system developed by Brembo. It uses no brake fluid. Instead, it uses electric actuators at each wheel, AI-driven software, and a pedal simulator to deliver customizable and precise braking without hydraulic fluid or a traditional master cylinder. Each wheel has its own motor that squeezes the pads onto the rotors (with redundant windings for safety). Advantages of Sensify: • Independent electric braking at each wheel with AI for shorter stops and maximum grip. • Seamless integration with ADAS and autonomous driving systems. • Eliminates brake fluid, removing maintenance, leaks, and environmental issues. • Zero brake drag via full pad retraction, improving EV range and reduced wear. • Fully customizable pedal feel and response through software for any driving mode. • Faster than hydraulic ABS with better stability in low-grip scenarios. The best undergraduate and graduate research awards at Caltech commencement this year were presented to research on Neural Operators by my students @ZongyiLiCaltech and Miguel Liu-Schiaffini. This recognition is a testament to their passion and dedication, and the impact their work has already had: from building a foundation for AI+Science through multi-scale learning, creating the first high-resolution AI-based weather model, designing a novel medical catheter that reduces bacterial contamination, to name just a few. The future of Physical AI will be built on the foundation of Neural Operators since the real world exists in multiple scales and resolutions, while standard deep learning only supports fixed resolution. Good composition, but these scream AI. Here's the system that fixes it: → Grab a reference photo from Pinterest with the exact aesthetic you want → Feed it to ChatGPT 5.2 with a prompt that extracts a detailed color grading JSON → Paste that JSON into image generator (Calico AI) → Generate your product photo. (the colors are now based on the reality you specify, not AI defaults) → Save that character as your reference for facial consistency across future shots From here you can build a full UGC model library. Microsoft's AI can now detect cancer from a $10 tissue sample. For context, every time tumor cells are tested, doctors create a basic microscope slide to study tissue up close. These slides show cell shapes and structures, but they can't reveal which immune cells are actually fighting the cancer. That deeper picture is critical for knowing if a patient will respond to immunotherapy... But the advanced imaging needed costs THOUSANDS. So Microsoft built GigaTIME -- an AI system that generates advanced imaging from the cheap slides hospitals already collect. The system was trained on 40 million cancer cells, then applied to over 14,000 patients across 51 hospitals spanning 24 cancer types. The AI found over 1,200 hidden connections between immune cell behavior and tumor growth that researchers couldn't find before... because the data simply didn't exist at this scale. When validated against 10,000 additional patients from a completely separate database, the results held up. The model is now open source, so any hospital worldwide can use it on samples they already have. I think this is one of the most impactful AI papers I've seen this year!
