Now this... Elvis is my absolute favorite musician of all time. And this is what I will listen to if I need to laugh. There is no way in hell you can listen to him laughing and not lose it. His laughter was just a beautiful as his voice and absolutely infectious. The story of this is that, apparently he was signing Are You Lonesome Tonight and a man in the front row took off his wig, and began to sway to the music, and Elvis could not hold it together. The most endearing laughter I've ever heard. 😂😂😂

John Eric Bartholomew, AKA Eric Morecambe, was born 100 years ago today. Few people in history have made as many people laugh as Eric, and as someone whose life was dedicated to that purpose, I am sure it is an accolade he would have been incredibly proud of. For me, Eric’s brilliance lay not just in the laughter he created, but in the anticipation of the laughter to come. That gift was omnipresent, following him like a comedic halo. To see him was to smile instinctively, followed quickly by genuine laughter. His friend Tommy Cooper possessed that same rare quality, and I have many treasured memories of watching them both when I was young. Thanks to social media, Eric’s work continues to be enjoyed by millions worldwide every day, and appreciation for his immense talent only grows. Long may that continue. Here he is, with Ernie and Mr Preview, creating some 22 karat TV comedy gold. God bless Eric Morecambe x

Thru Karishma Mehta podcast a few days ago - where I expressed how I felt sad about the young boy who was pushed aside by security of Virat Kohli - when he tried to get his Autograph. The child Was heart broken. Ipl is all about creating a fan base and loyalty of fans is paramount. No man team or player should think he is a bigger star and has no time for his fans. I know it’s not Virat’s fault - it’s sometimes is the security apparatus around the stars that at times right - at times too aggressive that need to be human. Anyway It touched my heart when I saw this incident on social media. I offered through my podcast to send my bat which I have of Virat Kholi with the Rest of the indian Cricket Team - which participated in the 2011 World Cup to him. We did not know who the child was. Well Karishma Mehta put that story out on her podcast - The young Child Yagu saw it and reached out to me on social media on my instagram. I immediately called him in the middle of the night half asleep - and did a video call with him and his father. And we spoke. And it made my day. Today he sent me this video. I am sending the bat from my private collection which was on my wall to him - I hope Virat Kohli sends me one of his most prized bats for my collection. As I have none too of his alone 😭😭😭😭🥰😘.

When I first met Evan Voyles in his sweatbox of a workshop in Austin, back in 2015, I knew it would only be a matter of time until I hired him to make me a neon sign. I was there to film an episode of Somebody’s Gotta Do It, with a man my producer described The Undisputed King of Neon, which was certainly apt. But Evan is so much more than an entrepreneur who built a thriving business around a colorless, odorless, and chemically inert noble gas; he’s also an artist who turned the world around him into his canvas, and a natural-born philosopher whose worldview I found every bit as compelling as his indisputable talent. Shame on me for taking so long to place a commission, but I finally got around to it earlier this year, which is why my podcast studio is now awash in the warm glow of not one, but two examples of Evan’s artistry - the mikeroweWORKS logo which now appears over my head, and The Way I Heard It logo which appears over the heads of all those guests who graciously agree to appear on my podcast. Both are awesome and dramatically improve the vibe of the place I used to call a bedroom, back when mikeroweWORKS was just getting started. I have just heard that the Zimbabwean Ambassador to Mozambique, Mr Victor Matemadanda, has died. He was a man who lived a colourful and complex life, at times standing with the people, and at other times pursuing the interests of the regime when it suited him. Such is often the nature of Zimbabwean politics. Yet when people pass away, our first duty is to mourn them and to reflect on the lives they lived. In most cases, we remember those moments, actions, or words that resonated most deeply with us. For me, this interview more than ten years ago was one of those moments. It was the point at which I took particular notice of Mr Matemadanda as a politician, political activist, war veteran, and influential figure within ZANUPF. In it, he spoke about issues that resonated with me and with millions of other Zimbabweans. The tragedy, however, is that when his faction eventually gained control of government, it went on to do the very opposite of what he was advocating in this interview. That contradiction remains one of the enduring lessons of Zimbabwean politics. It is an interview that every Zimbabwean should listen to and reflect upon. May his soul rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him.

I am the first born at home and my parents often told me I was their guinea pig since they had never been parents before. I took the opportunity to milk that phrase on Monday 19th February when I told my parents that they were my guinea pig for the Foot Prints podcast. I am grateful that they graciously agreed to be our first guests on the podcast which debuts in April. Foot Prints is a podcast that will share stories of and wisdom from elders who have transitioned into retirement. We will share their leadership lessons; their hopes and fears during transition and how they prepared to enter and embrace this new season of their lives. . I remember when this man threatened my life and I quickly reached out to my father in the Lord late Rev Azzaman. My father in the Lord asked me to forward the man's number to him, which I did, and Rev Azzaman called him. Please listen carefully and hear how their conversations went. He is even threatening my father in the Lord that he should stay out of this. My only crime is that I am a believer of Christ Jesus and also a Preacher of the Gospel in the rural villages. Yet, some people are saying it is a propaganda. May God have mercy on you!

Normally broken dogs come into my life and after a few months with us I am just like everybody else following their lives on Instagram. Today was already the highlight of my year as I got to see Bob! Bob was always very special to me as a gentle soul on the streets who I looked forward to seeing every single day with Angelina. My feeding route feels a bit empty without them and there isn’t a day I don’t look at their little spot and think back. We took him through the grief process which was very hard for him but I am so proud of him in his new home. He couldn’t have wished for better parents who dote upon him and his sister is a superstar. I loved watching the new confident Bob strutting around the beach. I’d never seen the side if him on the streets as he was just surviving there. He still loves to look around and see his sister and parents with his little side eye. Bob was always happy to be a pack member and he really has that now. Somewhere up there Angelina is looking down singing a little song for Bob that he is so happy. I didn’t want to wear my new T-Shirt that Matilda got me as it is so special but I figured I won’t have a bigger more exciting thing to go to the meeting Bob! Best. Day. Ever.
