I am a staunch Hindu, and precisely for that reason I refuse to outsource my Hinduism to the RSS. Hindu civilisation survived for millennia without a central command, membership card or ideological gatekeeper. Its strength was plurality, debate and the freedom to disagree. The moment Hindutva becomes an organisational... show more

Hindu by civilisation. Muslim or Christian by faith. Shared roots Different ways of worship. I ma guessing that’s the play. Tho I have one burning question. Can someone say “I am Indian. This land and its heritage are mine. But I am not Hindu” - and be accepted as equally Indian? Without a lecture. Without having to prove their loyalty. If yes, great. If no, then needs a much broader conversation. Can a civilisation thousands of years old handle someone saying “I belong here, but that’s not my label.”? Do shared roots need identical labels? I don’t think so. The nation state is not going away anywhere anytime soon. Neither is the question of equal belonging. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

💯💯

Very rightly articulated. Never be a slave to the new Hindutva thekedars or so-called Hindu saviours. Hindus are independent in thought, united by principles, and have never been subservient to religious or political dogmas.

Hindu civilization is DECLINING. Earlier it was spread spanning from the present day Afghanistan to Indonesia. Now within the geographical boundaries of India, it is declining in Kerala, Punjab and already declined in the Northeast and Kashmir. So wake up to the reality. No bull shitting and parroting the same " Hinduism survived 1000s of years of invasion and attacks ". It is NOW or NEVER.

It is RSS leader's daughter who is dating Muslim you tell them .

There may be exceptions. But we need one single command to lead the community. If not RSS, I would seriously like the shankaracharyas to take the lead ( The Pope equivalent) though we are not a cult.

The abrahamisation of hindu dharma should never be allowed to happen. Plurality of thoughts and traditions has been a biggest strength of Hinduism.

Hinduism was never outsourced and never will be. RSS is just a branch of large tree. Many groups, institutions and individuals are doing their part. Even RSS acknowledges it and says openly.

Coal

We were hindu even before BJP came .but only after BJP came people like yogi &modi made difference & rss is the reason BJP won..there are many things a common hindu can do group up counter anti india ( hindu) narratives... Save dharma never doubt your own team..

What a lame answer The whole RSS leadership has lost any scholarship and any understanding of the awareness that the society has got now That is why they have lost respect

No articulate precise answer ! Coz precision can never be politicized !

dada protest start in Bengal against UGC

RSS doesn't publish financial statements. No one knows who funds them, & their top leaders leep traveling to USA. Be very suspect of these guys.

Hindus dont need plurality they need central leadership but its not BJP or RSS. The central leadership needs to be Dharma itself. And the people whose life depends on dharma should be incharge. not the people whose life depends on power given by different books

Get a grip. No one owns anything esp you. Not Sangh not BJP. It has indeed survived you, Sangh and it will survive countless other stoopid arguments, provided if Hindus grow a spine and stand up.

RSS does'nt own hinduism. we do'nt believe in Hindutva.

100 %

Looks like @IndicSociety voice

Ok duhh, do you have any problem if someone is promoting Hinduism?

That's right!

Hosh me aao abhijit... With out BJP/RSS how will you stop love jihad? And prevent india from becoming Islamic?

Diluting understanding of Hindutva. The one who follows Hindu/sanatana dharma are Hindutva, simple.

Keep it safe with yourself till an Islamist comes and tramples it and converts you . It's pathetic that Hindus talk to much when someone fights for them. The moment RSS goes to background, your Hindutwa will disappear. Shame on you !!

Hindutva is a political concept anyways

Too late for this realisation.

Well said
