The question I see others asking is “does NVIDIA Alpamayo affect Tesla?” The short answer is: not really. The long answer is that it sort of gets everyone else back into the game of adding autonomy to their vehicles, but here is the problem: the game is about to switch to robotaxis. I do not know that this really affects the robotaxi game (at least not in the short term), and that is the rub. Waymo customers keep telling me “I am never buying a car again.” I do not think it helps the traditional automaker much. People who want autonomy will want Tesla due to its fleet size. The next year will make that clear.

The government is essentially the referee, making sure that there's fair play, that the rules are sensible, and allowing the players on the field to play the game. And what happens over time is that the government keeps growing, and at a certain point, you have more referees than players on the field. Then, the game is not good. I'm not saying you don't need referees, but you don't want the referees to outnumber the players. That would be silly, but that's often what happens. So, just make sure that fair games are being played, that there are sensible rules, and don't get in the way of the players. This is a MASSIVE change to the fabric of this country and it’s just been thrown out there like it’s nothing, a minor note at the bottom of the company minutes…in reality I see this as a huge constitutions change and a big problem for the monarchy and the country. The monarch IS and always has been since the 1530’s Degender of “The Faith”. This country has a state religion. Anglican, or the Church of England. The monarchy cat just throw that away like yesterday’s chip paper! This is a Christian country NOT a multi faith country. We may have people of many religions within it, we always have, but the country and its entire fabric is Christian. This is a disgrace and to my mind is a big step towards the end of our Monarchy (who I have always supported). If the King/Queen is not charged with the protection of the state faith of this country then a huge chunk of what they are for is gone completely. 😡

I feel like the industry is making too big of a jump and trying to pretend that this is amazing, but it's not. It's slop, and I think they are not coming to terms with it. Maybe they are trying to fundraise or something like that, I'm not sure what's going on. We are at this intermediate stage. The models are amazing, but they still need a lot of work for now.
