The Government has tried to fix things but I fear that they have left parents with more questions than answers. Their changes will leave young people to the lottery of the system and place too much burden on teachers. So many people have had a part in the Family Farm Tax (partial) u-turn. I worked with farmers for years before politics & know one thing for sure- they NEVER give up! Hopefully Labour are learning that too. Today is a relief to many farms, but not all. We need a full scrapping.

According to Rainn, every 68 seconds an American is sexually assaulted. It’s crucial that our society works together to create safer places for people who are being abused & need help. Too often survivors are gaslit & not believed when they speak up & ask for help which also enables abuser to continue to hurt. Many who are being abused don’t have a support system & safe place to go to/someone they can confide in. Far too many people feel alone & need help. One time being abused is too many & one person being abused is too many. You deserve to feel safe. I have the utmost respect for the medical field & people who work each day to save lives. Whether it’s a doctor’s appointment or someplace else, we need to work together to ensure survivors feel heard and supported. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video.

I grew up in a council house in Cumbria. Their purpose was to stabilise the lives of a working class which up until then had been dependent on the whims of private landlords. But in the 1970s a change was made to the law which made it a statutory obligation to house not the traditional working family, but those deemed to be in most immediate need of housing. It is this law which explains why an immigrant who comes here illegally and may end up homeless is often put to the front of the queue for housing, even before local people. As with everything, there are specific legal reasons for the dilemma we’re in. We don’t need to change our culture, we simply need to change the law.

Too many are afraid to acknowledge how we got here. Trump didn’t get us into this mess. It was years, if not decades, of policy decisions that left too many people out as politicians and the system increasingly served itself. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that Congress is working well. Part of the reason is that the people there don’t reflect the life experiences of the American people. We need people in Congress who understand the struggles so many families are facing, and we need to address the barriers that regular people face when serving. That's why it’s so important to make it easier for women and families to have a voice in Washington.
