I don’t run from challenges, I run towards them. I’ll never stop fighting for Angelenos. Let's get to work💪

I ran for mayor because I couldn’t accept the homelessness I saw on our streets. Since then, we’ve reduced homelessness by 11%, cut veteran homelessness by 50%, and brought homicides to a 60-year low. With the Olympics coming to Los Angeles, we need leadership that delivers. I’m committed to building on this progress so our city is ready—and Angelenos see lasting benefits.

I declared a homelessness state of emergency on day one — because no Angeleno should be left to die on our streets. We’ve cleaned up over 140 encampments and gotten thousands of people inside, but we need to completely overhaul the system to fully address this crisis.

You can drop off your ballot at voting centers and drop boxes throughout the city. Voting early is easy, even Babies for Bass agree!

A little encouragement goes a long way🤍 Thank you @janefonda, for your support and for standing with us in this important election. This election is about the future of Los Angeles, and I’m grateful to stand alongside people who care deeply about our city’s future.

We won on Tuesday – and LA rejected Spencer Pratt and the MAGA agenda. Next, we'll win in November! Because this is an election with a choice between whether we keep making change together or Nithya Raman who allows encampments near schools and fights against hiring more cops, yet is MIA on saving Hollywood jobs and fighting back when ICE invades LA

Being new to LA isn’t the problem. Being unfamiliar with LA’s history and arrogant enough to explain it to everybody else is the problem. Nithya Raman said policing under Daryl Gates was the “gold standard” for LAPD. Daryl Gates was the LAPD Chief who militarized the department, led indiscriminate sweeps targeting Black communities, and cultivated the aggressive culture that led to the brutal beating of Rodney King. LA still lives with that harm. Leaders who don’t understand our history risk repeating it. Is this who you want in City Hall? Nithya treats protecting immigrant families and protecting Black Angelenos from police abuse as competing priorities. Our city must do both. I organized in South LA against the abuses of Gates’s LAPD, and I continue to stand up for immigrant families today.

Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez and I have a lot more in common than folks might think. We’re both lifelong organizers driven by a sense of justice, and a commitment to working together and building a coalition to deliver for Angelenos. I’m honored to have his support for our campaign!

More tax credits. Less fees. Streamlined Permitting. That's how we keep film & TV jobs in LA. When the lights go down, I think about the people who made what's on that screen: the grips, the crews, the caterers, the set builders. I created the first tax credit in Sacramento, and I helped expand it as Mayor. We appointed a Film Czar to help filmmakers avoid bureaucracy. Cut filming fees at Griffith Observatory cut by 70%. Reopened the Central Library to production after more than a decade. Issued Executive Directives to cut the red tape that was pushing shoots out of LA. Whatever it takes to protect film jobs in Los Angeles, I'll do it. Alongside the unions and the working people who built this industry.

Nithya Raman wants to lead the whole city, 6 years in office she can’t even get a single lot cleaned up in her own district

$937 for an apartment in DTLA? Say less. We're driving down the cost of rents & mortgages by turning vacant offices into new homes. After 26 years of inaction, I expanded LA's Adaptive Reuse program citywide -- clearing the way for as many as 43,000 new homes across Los Angeles. Now the old World Trade Center that’s been sitting vacant for years is becoming 512 homes, 100% affordable, right in the heart of downtown. Because everyone deserves a place to call home. 💙

Reducing homelessness. Building more housing. Funding public safety.

When I became mayor, Los Angeles was facing challenges that had been ignored for decades. So I got to work. Homelessness is down 17.5%. Homicides are at their lowest level since the 1960s. More than 42,000 affordable housing units are being fast-tracked. There is still more work to do to make L.A. safer, more affordable, and a city that works for everyone.
